This demo was recorded as part of the Search Press 2020 Virtual Christmas Fair. Grahame's book "Watercolour Snow Scenes" is available from Search Press and all good bookshops.
Probably the best watercolor teacher in the world . There are teachers who just hide techniques (not consciously though) which students can't decode . But you start from ABCD and you help us to write a novel . Thanks a mil for this tutorial !
Graham, I greatly appreciate your tutorials. You describe your techniques and reason for your decisions. Thanks a lot for this tutorial. I watch it slowly and picked up a great deal of information. I appreciate it sir. Don Sylvester Houston, Texas
Brilliant!! Excellent tutorial with clear instructions. Extremely helpful. I love snow more than anything but didn't know how to paint it. I learned so much from your video! BTW, I almost cried when you covered that gorgeous tree on the far right with the hedge!🤣🤣 That tree trunk was Gorgeous! Oh well, I understood your point. Thank you very much! I'm going to purchase your book now.
your technique is fantastic Grahame! i loved to see evrything specially the way you painted those little twigs on the tree in counter change without using masking fluid! Masterly painted!!!
I recently started working only with watercolor. was brooding the internet for helpful videos. wow! This was one of the most helpful, fun, and elaborate ones. I would watch this video again and again and again. and every single time it would give me the exact pleasure. thank you!
Beautiful painting, Grahame, and great video. It's everything a good video tutorial should be. Your style is my favourite, loose is the best! Merry Christmas to you & your family.
Love this scene! Great tips about starting the tree at the top, and working down. I learned the tip of making the little ‘jerky strokes ‘ for the branches some time ago from you. It truly helps them appear to be more natural and random looking! Thank you for this tutorial!
Thank you so very much for this, Grahame. You have such a relaxed presence and give such clear instruction with not only the 'how to' expained but the 'why' as well. I'll definitely buy your book after seeing this! Sending very best wishes and hope you continue to stay safe and well.
Just discovered your channel and on the back of this painting I've subscribed. Can't wait to give this one a try and look forward to watching your other videos. I thought the warm glow u gave the snow worked so well. Loved it. Thank u.
Hello Grahame. I thoroughly enjoyed this tutorial. Your teaching style is scaffolded perfectly.....one skill/technique leads to the next. I learned a lot and will give this composition a try. Thanks again for sharing your professional watercolour skills. Cheers!
Superb tutorial! Inspires me to pick up at least your winter book, as I live in the mountains of British Columbia, and living on the land, in the mountains affords me ample inspiration; and now with your tutorial I feel inspired to take on rendering the beauty that surrounds me. I particularly appreciated your speaking out the logic or reasons for that which you do; a rare phenomena in my experience of following hundreds of hours of tutorials since I came irresistibly to aquarelle 3 years ago. In gratitude, achille
Just placed the order locally....now I’ll need to be patient for the couple of weeks it will take to get here. Once again, my deepest appreciation for your very forthcoming attitude towards the sharing of that which time has revealed to you. I would add that I’m particularly appreciative of your generosity in sharing your craft; as I’m 72, and coming to painting a wee bit later, and don’t have a full lifetime ahead of me to garner experience.... and no teachers locally.

You transmit to me so much confidence that I started to try to paint myself... a wonderful class full of tips and lessons. I had decided not to do the big tree but the soon as you finish I realized that it is the most beautiful piece by this painter. I am very sorry to not find your book in Brasil and very glad to follow you on RU-vid.Thank you very much
HI Grahame checking in again to say how much I like this book. I have had a go at the first 3 and cant wait to move through the rest. I had no idea the book built up skills as it goes ! I feel this Book will give me a lot of Ideas . TY for this wonderful X mas Gift ! All the best to you and yours.
Excellent job Grahame... i really learned some valuable lessons here. Hopefully one day I can do something half that nice. Thank you for taking the time to post that and share with the rest of us.

I live in California and began watercolor painting ayear ago. I have learned a lot from you. I also love seeing you, listening to you talk. I had a delightful Irish grandmother and you remind me of her. She came from Ireland a long time ago. Thank you
I bought a 402 brush from Rosemary and Co.and wow it’s wonderful! I love the point and the way the water leaves the brush! Thanks for this wonderful source! ClaudiaSJI
