10:00 In game 3 here, Wizzy goes down two stocks to four and, over the next 3.5 minutes, slowly grinds his way to a one-stock advantage and eventually takes the game - which ends up being a swing game in the set. Championship-winning patience and neutral
I think the reason people are fine with wizzy playing passive is because it’s really the only way to effectively combat puff, and it’s satisfying to see a puff player beat at their own game. Though I agree, hbox will get hate no matter the situation.
I love the wobbles commentary. Perfectly breaks down tiny interactions that the regular viewer would not see. I find myself pausing and going back to see the little adaptations and interactions that make this game special.
Wobbles and Scar are super engaged commentators. Being able to see insane options in sets like these coupled with a solid breakdown of what just happened makes for a good tool for players to get better.
Then you have the casuals who say this commentary is trash or hate it, and there were quite a few of them being annoying about it lmao. I loved it, I have very rarely hated any commentary. D:
@@fluffybunny6454 I love homemade waffle dude. He's such a great hypeman. During the Leffen vs IBDW set he really made leffen feel like a final boss of a video game lol
Honestly Him being trained by M2k probably helped with that mindset. It's how M2k has beaten armada and other top players. m2k has never been afraid to time someone out/camp ledge and play safe when he needs to. That is he was in the mood that day to play patient. If his opponent could frazzle him they could get the win. Like m2k knows the IC match up but if nintendude or Chudat could get in his head it could become bad.
What a fucking set to watch. Wizzy clutching out his first supermajor win and making falcon history in 4 commando ass matches. Just sponsor this kid already.
@@sherlockholmes9111 but he has a good core fan base and is decent enough to show up and perform in both games, I don't see whats to lose in sponsoring him?
Wizzy is the only player who will make hungrybox question if camping is the right move. I dont think box can read him, I mean look at that face. Killer
DnaluarK I think it also has to do with the fact that wizzy moved from a smash game where one mistake is your stock to melee so he used to that hbox playstyle of exploiting minor mistakes and capitalizing
@@Sgtcrazyeyes235 lol You better not be saying Ultimate is a "one move and your dead" game. Because MELEE is that type of game. NOT Ultimate. Not even close. Lol
@@sauce8277 He meant 64. Wizzy has been able to really make dents into literally every smash game with competitive relevance as of right now. Smash 64 is like a squishier version of Melee, so when SgtCrazyEyes says that one mistake is your stock, he really means it.
Honestly, this particular matchup should be right up his alley, since Puff vs. Falcon is a game of playing neutral until one player gets the right hit and the other player dies.
I'm a huge Hbox fan, I think Juan's a good guy and I think his playstyle is way smarter than people give him credit for, but even I'm stoked to see Wizzy win this set.
god bless the puff match up is like watching floyd mayweather box. just so much patience required, a ton of skill required obviously, but damn is it boring for the average viewer.
You don't seem to understand that outcamping Hbox is the only way to consistently beat Hbox, whose own style calls for the outcamp strat. Mango's rushdown style can work once in a while, even Leffen's and Plup's more balanced style only works less than half of the time. Wizzy, Armada, and Zain have shown what works more consistently.
