Your explanation gave me the courage to use yarn I had for 11 years to make the most beautiful toddler blanket. By using a larger hook, counting my stitches and putting my fingers in the loops I was able to easily make it. Thank you, my 3 year old neighbour is thrilled with her new blanket! Chrissy/Canada
I love this so much!! Thank you for sharing with me that my video helped give you the courage to use yarn you have had for 11 years. I'm so excited for you and cannot be more thrilled for this achievement. GREAT JOB!!!!
I've used this yarn several times. As someone else mentioned, I finally added a size 4 yarn with this yarn making it so much easier to see. Thanks for your great tutorials!
I use a single repeat pattern of : make first stitch as dc 1, then (dc1, ch1) to end of row, end with a dc1 next row and every row after do the dcs in the ch space hole of previous row. This way I don’t need to worry about finding the stitch! Much easier and can easily work by feel. I taught this to my ladies at the nursing home as they have trouble seeing stitches.
Hi Jaydaydesign! I like the pattern you described. Can definitely see how that would make it easier to see the stitches. I worry that people making baby blankets don't like making baby blankets with holes in them. Which is why I made my blanket more of a solid pattern. But I see the beauty and convenience of your pattern! Thank you so much for sharing! 😊🧡🧶
I have used UK terms for US terms substitute Single crochet (SC). You will find that you can use a smaller hook than when using a stitch that requires finding the top ‘v’ of stitches As long as the tension is not too loose this creates a nice firm fabric for babies.
@SunsetKhaliyah as wide as you want to make the blanket . The pattern is a multiple of 2 stitches + 1 for the end dc so the row must have an odd number of stitches.
I used this yarn several years ago in a baby blanket , it turned out beautiful. I think I have some in my stash, if so I will try this pattern. Thankyou Tiffany.
HI Linda! I hope you do try this pattern. It is so easy, and if you have already worked with this kind of yarn before you will have an even better experience. 😊🧡🧶
Hi Tiffany, very pretty blanket. I never used this yarn. I will have to give it a try. I'm making a baby blanket with your pattern, The Fall Vibes pattern with 4ply yarn for a baby shower gift. It is coming along beautifully. Thank you for that pattern as well. Love how you show and explain everything in your videos 💜🤗🙏🧶
Hi Naomia! I am so excited you are making my Fall Vibes blanket and loving the pattern. This Snuggle Me Blanket is one I hope you can try. The yarn is very neat to work with. Thank you so much for watching my videos and crocheting with me! 😊🧡🧶
Hi I started crocheting with the wool above , in south Africa is called Alexis double knit, but same texture, the centre I am knitting white n boarder will be same as yours, not finding it difficult , I am enjoying it , thank you for sharing
I am desperately trying to find 1 skein of Bernat pipsqueak baby blue and 1 of the funny bunny print have any ideas where I might be able to locate. I have been on eBay JoAnn’s Walmart Etsy have not been successful. Help please
Oh man, that's rough. It always frustrates when a yarn get's discontinued and you find yourself needing more. You just listed all of the places I would look besides a Google search to see if there are any private sellers. My fingers are crossed for you that you can find what you are looking for. Otherwise, maybe see if you can revise your blanket project to be a tad smaller to just use the yarn you have? 💖🧶
Hi Jenny! I am so excited you asked. That blanket is still a work in progress. Just got more yarn in to try to complete it. I can't wait to get that tutorial out! Keep checking in because I'm hoping to have this out within the next couple months. 😊🧡🧶
Patricia….Please see my comment about pairing a regular yarn with the Pipsqueak. I was new to crochet, also, and I found the fuzzy yarn impossible to use on its own.
Hi Patricia! The pattern for this project is super easy, it's really the Pipsqueak yarn that makes it more challenging. You could try using a non-textured yarn like I mention or utilize my tips that I go over throughout the video. OR you could try Stealth 2223's strategy and work 2 string of yarn at a time (one being the pipsqueak yarn and one being a non-textured yarn) that way your stitches are a lot easier to see. I did make a tutorial showing how I worked with 2 yarns to make something if you would like to watch for a reference: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qXs-Xn_p-Z8.html
Hi Viki! Hmmm, if this is a problem you run into a lot I recommend you try using stitch markers in the first and last stitch space to make sure you make it to that last stitch and stop. Also, I recommend counting the number of stitches are in the first 4 rows to make sure you get a feel for the pattern and then every now and then count the number of stitches are in a row to make sure you are staying on track. Hope this helps you!!
@@CrochetWithTiffany Thanks for responding so quickly. Yes! I understand what your saying. I did have the issue of not counting the stitches! 🙄I hate it. But I do use stitch markers and now I count the stitches. I was wondering if it’s the way I’m holding the project whiling continuing to work on it. Maybe I’m pulling it to one side when turning such a large project? Or, perhaps “blocking”. Which I have no idea what that means! 😁
You don’t, I supply the step by step instructions in the tutorial itself. If you want the typed up version you are more so paying for the graph diagrams I created, the detailed instructions included and my time to create the pattern on top of everything else that I do to bring this pattern to the person watching.
@@CrochetWithTiffany I must be missing something then because when I click the link after watching the video it took me to Etsy and said that I needed to pay for the pattern I don't mind paying for it but I was also in the process of joining and doing the premier or premium membership so I was trying to avoid having to purchase it now the pattern that is
