The video's from 2012 on are all with Floor Jansen, she is the present singer. Tarja Turunen did leave the band in 2004 (was married and he was her manager, not of the band), Anette Olson came after Tarja and was the singer until the 2012 world tour part in the USA, where she did leave the band not even half way, and Floor Jansen stepped in until now.

Nightwish has a tour video from the 2012-2013 world tour. It's called Please Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours. It has a lot of behind the scenes stuff in preparation for the tour, behind the scenes stuff during the tour up to when Floor replaced Anette but no concert clips, then behind the scenes with Floor and a bit of concert clips once she came on as the replacement.

It's great to see them having fun on tour or behind the scenes. The video "Please Learn the Setlist in 48 hours," from when Floor joined them, gives a good look, too, as well as their making of album videos. 😊

At least 4 members are great science ambassadors/appreciators and the band made several fantastic songs about science and people, so in return Nightwish, Tuomas and Floor got their names on a few recently discovered animal species (few pictures are in this video), as a thank you from science community.

Guys Tuomas started Nightwish in 1996, is the keyboardist, song writer, producer extraordinare, Marko sings with Floor, & is the bass player, & sometimes guitarist, Empuu is also a original band member, & one of the best guitarist out there. Troy, is an everything player, including Uillean pipes, whistles, guitar, & back up singer., & Kai is the current drummer, once the mentor to Jukka, that is now behind the scenes, leaving playing due to health issues. Once again Marko, bassist, is also the singer in these older songs. He left the band in 2021.

Tarja married a music manager who was blamed for keeping her from music practice and performances and influencing her to go solo which after being asked to leave she did. The second Anette during there U.S. concert became unwell as she was pregnant and wasn't recovoring throughout the tour so originally they borrowed a few girls from Kamalot then they called Floor. Later they let go Anette and asked Floor to become perminent so Floor disbanded her band Revamp. Floor has a few home video's for all to see if you want background on how she lives. Don't forget Floor's husband Hannes is the drummer for Sabaton. A very musical family.

Gary release the song in 1987 and Nightwish 14 years later in 2001 . Strangely Moore's version actually went to No.1 in Finland - which was perhaps what inspired the band to cover it .

For some more behind the scenes videos for Floor: Several playlists on her RU-vid channel, especially "Storytime" and "1 Minute Fan Fridays" The documentary on RU-vid: "Floor Jansen in Dutch show Reunion (Tampere 2015)". Includes behind the scenes footage before the concert. The documentary on RU-vid: "SMS - The Floor Jansen Story (with eng subs)". SMS stands for Sing Meinen Song, a German tv show much like the Dutch Beste Zangers, both on which Floor was invited to appear.

Tarja Turunen 1996-2005, Anette Olzon 2007-2012, Floor Jansen 2012-present. Release date of videos can be more recent than the singer's tenure so ignore that. Tarja wanted to go solo and gave the band a long notice period before leaving. However her and her husband/manager did not live up to their obligations and Tarja was fired before her notice period expired. Anette got pregnant during the tour and very reluctantly agreed to a replacement singer. She wanted the rest of the tour postponed or cancelled. When she found out that the band intended to bring in Floor, she objected strenuously and was fired as a result.

Interesting, for years Tarja has done not much of anything but sing NW songs. She snagged Marko as soon as he was loose. She’s been gone 19 years, & is always singing NW. NW has a great lead singer, for over a decade, be nice if she would work on her own singles career, & move on!

@@islgrl292 What is ironic about her working with Marko, is that he was the driving force behind her firing. He was so fed up with her and Marcello that delivered an ultimatum to the band, "She goes or I go!"

@@billattercliffe8655 , I didn’t know that, but he didn’t have the school years connection of Tuomas, & Empuu,& he seems like the type that wouldn’t put up with that kind of prima dona toxicity. You can hear it in ‘Master Passion Greed’ the deep anger. These guys should take a listen to that one! I don’t think there should be a grudge held at this point, but have to say I think it was TACKY…. maybe he needed the money. :) …and Tarja needs to move out of the past she didn’t appreciate at the time, in my opinion.

@@islgrl292 If you get a chance, read "Once Upon a Nightwish" which chronicles the Tarja years. It's available as an e-book. Nobody comes out smelling like a rose, but it shines through that Marcello was the real wrecker behind the scenes.

Its very simple - the 2 previous singers were sacked
