Brantley had a friend who came back in a box therefore the first verse but the second verse is about Brantley's cousin Cory he got cancer and before he died he fought the good fight by proclaiming being unafraid to die due to his faith a real man right there it is not just about soldiers it is about facing that ultimate reward. One hell of an Amen!
Unfortunately there are kids these days who dont have a clue about the military or anything about our freedom they just figure it is like that because they were never taught ! So scarey for the future of our young people in the future who have no clue ! Keep up the great job !😍😍
I am a 100% US Army Infantry Disabled Veteran, This Song Is Ultimate!!! God Bless You 2 And Your Family!!! 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Fort Bragg NC!!!! Always Remember>> Your Freedom Isn't Free!!!!! Airborne Baby!!!!
Thank you for ur service and much love...im a vet myself, i fought in operation enduring freedom" and "operation iraqi freedom"....i would do it all again if i had to
You should check out FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH the song is WRONG SIDE OF HEAVEN or GONE AWAY, for all the Vets out there. My service lasted 8 years but I think for my wife and young son it was like 15 years.
Check out Kenny Cheney “There goes my life”, Brooks and Dunn “Believe”, Brad Paisley and Allison Krause “Whiskey Lullaby. You can’t go wrong! Love you guys
I’m a Canadian military brat. My dad served for 20years and did a tour in Bosnia in ‘93 and this brought me to tears because as much as I was lucky my dad came home he wasn’t the same and I was young enough that I don’t remember how he was before he went. Love you guys. Thank you to all the other service members out there for everything and wish you great things and that your pain will be respected because you deserve all you could want and you deserve peace if dealing with PTSD.
Brantley Gilbert is from my home state of Georgia and Brantley Gilbert is a huge supporter of our Military and he is a amazing singer songwriter...he has a song out called Lost Souls Prayer as he battles a addiction and every time I hear this song I think of my father who had the same addiction so I would love for you to react to Lost Souls Prayer and Brantley has a huge catalog that I think you both will enjoy...Please and Thank You P.S. Brantley had a veteran give him his purple 💜 and he keeps with him at all times so if the guys ever wants it back he has it with him Brantley is just a hell of good guy and patriot
As a veteran, that was tough reading his story. I remember deploying to the middle East and finding out a week later that my wife was pregnant. A hard deployment suddenly got harder. All I could think about was whether I would ever get to see my new baby. Obviously, I made it home, and I was there when my son was born on the 4th of July.
Being the mother of a combat Marine Vet, this hit home really hard. Rest easy Sgt. Sullivan and thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice💔💔💔🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
God Bless the Men and Women who fought for our freedom. I salute you. You both are so amazing, beautiful, and caring. Thank you so much for your awesome reactions!
I had many family in the military & my dad wasn't but he got cancer & died at 50. He never showed fear but I know he was scared. I was 26 & it hurt bad but I love him and respect anyone fighting anything tough
Yes they do give up a lot!! Y'all stay safe! David Ball - Riding with Private Malone Brad Paisley - He did not have to be Conway Twitty ,- That's my job Brooks & Dunn- I believe
He's from Jefferson Ga, about 30min north from me. Saving Amy, Bad Boys, Hell on an angel, my kind of crazy.. he's got some great songs. Pretty much every song on his first couple albums are 🔥
Love this song! I read that this song was for a soldier who was a brother to one of his best friends. What a heart of gold to do that for your friend and tell the story of that soldier.
Listen to this song every day. I make myself feel the loss. So I can be reminded what matters in life. Tears. If respect. Ty Brantley u did so much for my PTSD. More than any group therapy
Thank you so much for your respect. My youngest son is a Marine and about to go for his 2nd deployment. My heart is in turmoil for what condition the world is in and my baby going out there. He is a Corporal and I miss him so much!!!!
God bless you, Sgt. Sullivan. And God bless and thank you to all of our military heroes past, present and no longer with us. I come from a military family and I have a profound respect for the sacrifices you made. I🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
My wife and I were best friends since teen years. We went into the Marines together and were deployed together to Afghanistan. She fought cancer for 14 years on and off. We were given the news she had a few months left early last year. We got married and she past on 10/13/2020. She left behind 2 amazing teen girls from her husband who had previously passed. Those girls have become my daughters and the blessing that has saved me everyday. Raising them as my own is a true joy. But she was not afraid even once. Her fight song was Fear by Blue October. When you have a chance would you please react to it. Love you guys. Lots of love from TN
My grandfather just padt thanksgiving 24, he was WW2 vet. We are military family both sides! My father died of Cancer 2 thanksgivings ago. So this song hits hard for me!
I don't make a lot of comments but this is a beautiful song. As a vet who served 20 years this brought on tears, thank you! Also this was already brought up 5 finger death punch, "wrong side of heaven" is an absolute must. Be warned have the tissues at hand.
Both the military and cancer sides of this song are near and dear to my heart. My biological father died in Vietnam and almost every male in my family has served. The other side is both my sister and I are battling cancer. I just started treatment, but my sister has been fighting hard for 2 years but has decided she has had enough. I am so proud she is choosing to live life on her terms!!
When I die, I hope I can do it defending someone in need of defense, plenty of need for that here as well. MUCH APPRECIATION for those who serve and defend us, even if you disagree with our beliefs, you defend us.
In many ways, this song is the story of my family. We lost my dad in 2004 in service to this country. 6 months later, we lost my mom to cancer. I can’t hear this song without being absolutely broken.
I love this song coming from a fan of rock and a more hardcore music genre I love country and that’s what I fall asleep listening to most nights. I think that listening to two different types of music can be good for you and it and some change and wild factor to the day. 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
Such a beautiful dedication. Having been a proud member of the US Navy and now a proud veteran, this song brought a tear as I listened to the words and remembered so many if my shipmates who are no longer with us. But those memories also brought a smile as I thought of those I served with so long ago. Thank you for sharing this video and the dedication. A big heartfelt thanks to my fellow veterans from years past and current. May peace be with you all.
When he came and performed at a small concert in my hometown, he brought all the mothers and spouses of active service members in the crowd on stage with him for this song. I've always been a fan, but that was something else
There is NOT enough thanks, not enough gratitude . lets not forget out 13 service members!🇺🇸💔✝️🙏 . my brother is a Sargent, my grand fathers were in WW2 and Korea. God Bless you all AMD America🇺🇸❤️🙏✝️
You say thank you is not enough...? When I'm told "thank you for your service", I tell them, it was my Honor to Serve them, and every American, I say this for my Brothers who didn't come home, because they are the one's I believe I can speak for. I take every tribute for them.
This song brings me to tears. One son of mine a Marine passed away and another son passed away young with a rare disease. So yeah. ❤️ # Marine/ Navymomma. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
My father was in the Korean war, I was Vietnam era and my son went to Iraq twice and Afghanistan once, luckily we all came out ok! GOD BLESS THE USA! ROCK ON!! Jeff
I have two in my family out of the Vietnam war. THANK YOU for you and yours for the service. All wars are tough but the criticism for our troops out of the Vietnam era was harsh. Again, thank you my friend !
I thank all of the men and women who go and fight for our freedom. But I especially wanted the thank their family because they give up so much for us to and they don't get the thanks they deserve.
You're so right! I want to thank everyone for fighting for us! I was so touched, I cried! I love BG and have never heard this! To the one who emailed, God bless your soul and your family, it was beautiful! Much ♡♡♡♡♡
Sitting in my daughters house watching this at her house to help her with my baby grand daughter and 2 grandsons because the military took daddy again!!!!
Wow!!!!! What a beautiful tribute 💕❣️❣️🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸...... And thank you guys for playing that. God bless our amazing military!! This is a family long and deep with people serving ❣️🇺🇸
I write this comment with tears running down my cheek. On May 18, 2006, my nephew US Army 1LT Robert A. Seidel, III was killed in action in Baghdad, Iraq. The last times I saw Rob was a few months earlier when he was on R&R and he kept playing the song When I Get Where I'm Going by Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton; he said it was his favorite song. There wasn't a dry eye in the more than a thousand people who attended when I played it at his funeral on Memorial Day 2006. I think of Rob every day as I put a pin with his photo on. All of those who knew him were blessed to have known him. If you want another profound song about life and death then you should react to When I Get Where I'm Going by Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton.
Brantley is an amazing song writer. He’s written songs that are straight kick ass but then he writes some like Just As I Am about redemption, then Three Feet of Water about salvation. With baby Luca coming you should review The Man That Hung the Moon, it is BEAUTIFUL and Brantley wrote it to his new baby boy. It speaks to what being a Dad is all about. Also Hard Days and The Ones That Like Me are great. Brantley also wrote Dirt Road Anthem that Jason Aldean took to #1. Anthem is one that you would really like J. And I suggested Small Town Throwdown , sooo fun, with Thomas Rhett and JUSTIN MOORE when y’all reviewed If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away? Keep up the good work!! ♥️♥️ And God bless our men and women in uniform and the sacrifices that make to keep us safe and free!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
