I didn’t watch Toy Story on release (2019) but I did around the small lockdown my country had from January to March 2021.

Honestly, that deep John Wick voice works really well for Shadow. The rest is a bit iffy, but that John Wick voice is perfect. Then maybe they'll also add some kind of voice moderator to make the voice even closer to Shadow and it'll really be good.

Oddly enough I think Keanu’s like…casual voice makes the most sense if we’re looking back at Sonic Adventure 2 for comparisons. Shadow’s voice wasn’t too gruff until Jason came along, and I kinda love that Keanu can do a gruff voice and a non-gruff voice. Both fit Shadow
