@kvar_runeback

@@deeznoots6241 Oh trust me I *know* the sets but I still make so many mistakes in game plan... I also have a very bad mentality (I'm the human equivalent to archeops. Defeatist really does work like that irl) so I end up throwing games I had no right losing. That and I don't take enough time to check my exact moves early game so I might rely on something I don't have. And a milion other things I fuck up. Wolfe's criteria are much more important than set knowledge (after all, as you see he just uses the randbat command to see possible moves, which I just learned about). I know I suck at a lot of things but knowing what I'm against ain't one of them. Wolfe is a much better player in general so he only needs to grind out for a couple days to get used to a format and he's going to be top 1%. That's in part his talent and also his overwhelming experience he can translate (because VGC or not, pokemon is pokemon)

I really like videos like this, it’s cool to hear your opinion on battle styles you don’t normally play in. It’s fun to watch you branch out into some different styles on this channel

This was really fun to watch. You explain your thoughts, gameplan and more, which makes for very interesting commentary. I love your singles content as well

I love random battles in basically ANY game. Recently I got hooked to Smite's Assault mode, where everyone gets a random god. This is right up my alley 😁

this was really fun to watch! I think the thing a lot of casuals like to see is obscure/unexpected pokemon getting to shine in the hands of the masters, so something like this is perfect for that. the level adjustment is fantastic

You play Random because of the challenge. I play Random because I don't know jack shit about building teams. We are not the same

Joey's profile segment (The rhetoric, his picture, all of it) was hilarious LOL It really adds to the irony of what was being foreshadowed

Just popping in to reaffirm that this style works quite well. I'd already seen most of the tournament from other RU-vidrs, but having the more story based, play by play feel was an interesting direction, and helped this wideo stand out.

I really love this style of video. Your commentary is funny and engaging and helps me follow along with what’s happening. I’ve played Pokémon since gen 1 but stopped paying attention to the competitive scene after gen 3. So I am usually pretty confused during your free form videos

I like the way you did this video Wolfey and the editing was also very good. It was so entertaining I enjoyed the watch even while already knowing how the tournament plays out from all the streams. Great video for the showdown format

YES! Commenting before watching, but I've been waiting for something like this! A tournament with random teams! In-game random team challenges always seem too easy because you can just save scum until you get a feasible team, but here, I imagine you'll have to be much more adaptable! Super excited to watch this, & will probably comment more later! I really hope you'll do more like this in the future!
