Asking some to have an ego…really? I KNOW for a fact that I’m in the minority here, but ego disgusts me. What is ego? Well, ego is the idea that you are the goat, the best at literally everything you do…like Jay3…”I don’t lose 1v1’s”, then proceeds to lose every time…that’s an ego check, tho it never works on him. It’s on the same level as narcissism. Loving yourself too much to the point of obsession. Generally speaking. In video games, ego is “I’m fine, I’m good, the rest of my team is holding me back, it’s never my problem, only my teammates”. Ego lacks accountability. Humility is realizing your mistakes and learning from them. Even top 500 go on loss streaks. They lose too ya know. That’s why I myself hate using the term diff, because I’m praising myself to tear others down. It’s not morally or ethically something I can do. If I have a good game, you won’t catch me at gun point saying I’m the best. You won’t. I personally don’t have an ego. There’s also a difference between ego and self- esteem. Ego is self love to the extreme…there’s no one better than me…I’m just better,..all sorts of phrases like that. Self-esteem is being happy with yourself, and understanding that you can lose and taking accountability if it was in fact on you. Ego doesn’t recognize accountability. Self-esteem..you’re happy with your life…happy with your gaming performance. Being in top 500, there’s a certain level of mindset you need to be. Once you start getting over confident (ego), you start making mistakes. It’s recognizing that you can have days where things just don’t work out for you…and your own gameplay, seeing what YOU did wrong and learning from it. Even Top 500’s know that their performance won’t always be top notch. I myself can get flamed for being awful as tank or something one game and the next I’m doing extremely well…knowing my teammates or even the opponents think I’m trash and they’ll instantly generalize that and I’m trash mo matter what. It’s match-making too…one game you’ll have (let’s say tank role) someone within 3 ranks. Silver-Plat (I’m gold) and I can evenly match with them or win or lose, but other games, I’ll get matched against a Masters tank or something…and I get called trash from that horrible loss. Not my problem matchmaking is horrible… But yeah, ego sucks. Self-esteem recognizes problems with self and how to fix them. Ego is narcissism.
It was just unfortunate events cyx was hard carrying those games too but yeah that hook he missed was crucial in the first one against Eskay second one I’m not sure what happened lol
