Sorry for the timing on this one, got delayed for a while so it almost seems like its the Metagame viewing lol. I recently finished watching that one as well, let me know if you want a full youtube review of it!
he might have been the biological neurogenerative disease for the death of Smash as an eSport But better to be fake than right or vice versa I am lost again #FreeMelee

The old handheld footage and Wife's commentary were definitely the highlights of the first documentary for me. The second one has none of the former and not much of the latter (not too applicable), so it was a struggle to get through.
Looking forward to you reacting to the next episode, since its my favorite in the entire documentary. Isai is easily my favorite old-school smasher, and probably top 5 overall.
the one thing I have to say is that the documentary is also a bit of a time capsule to a different time. Yeah there's parks that didn't age well but it's something that still should be remembered, although updating and explaining it as to how the culture was is something that I think should be included as a way to help with explaining things for everyone that doesn't know how that time actually was.
yah you dont know what makes a good doc, this is probably the greatest smash doc we'll get and the fact is it doesnt include you. thats why you hate it lmao
Ian P. Lmao I was just about to comment the same thing. Like legitimately the guy is just LOOKING for things to complain about. He’ll just stay silent for all the great moments in the doc and then jump on anything he thinks is “cringe” and blow it way out of proportion. Idk how anyone can stand being around someone so perpetually negative
The funny thing about saying "that didn't age well" is like, a lot of those things just weren't good at all lol. Like I remember in middleschool kids throwing around some of those phrases like the one in place of "wreck", and after 11 year old me learned what it meant it was just like "why don't you just say wreck, like it makes more sense" lol
Not gonna lie first time I watched this was when Zero was reviewing it. It’s a shame that the things he did messed that up I was enjoying the review. Glad You did this in one sitting
I wasn't into smash till I watched this. This documentary was like a gateway drug. The second documentary felt like it started as a gift to Melee fans and ended up turning back into the first doc halfway into what it originally was, just less effective. Should've been an homage to Melee's '5 God's era' the whole way through.
The voice is obviously voice acted to be that voice and is not the voice of a normal person. So it is like listening to someone trying to do the accent on snooty voice. It can trigger listeners.
This is me officially committing to recording an alternative voiceover for the doc, censoring slurs and problematic jokes, and making a uniquely stupid edit every time chillin is on screen.
Man I thought I was sick at Smash because I was like beatin all my friends and my brother and sister. But then I've met a guy in school and I've found out that he plays Smash competitevely and I was like "bruh you can play this game like real competitive?" and then he absolutely destroyed me when I've visited him xd I think many had similar moments in their life, am I right? ^^
