valve really do not care bro, if they really do care then they will be giving testers an official NDA but there's not, they do not care if you share it
Valve about to nuke Blitz back to Mobile Legends Bang Bang lmao. Maybe they said it’s ok to share videos now since this one journalist spilled the beans. But if they did not RIP Blitzo
Having the csing/denying being that little wisp system is actually really neat, rewards aim and has players focus on csing without dealing with the annoyance of trying to hit a specific minion from the ground level angle
0:07 a company that doesn't care about it's game success because their main source of income is Steam and it represents like 90% of their profit so they can afford to fail in other areas
@@Davenzoid no the worst kind of company who sidelines their diehard fans for years by neglecting their games and the problems those games have and creating a new microtransaction blackhole to drain off money.
@@zecomrade82 damn then let me tell you about all the other developers that literally do the same thing but even more predatory, EA, ACTIVISION BLIZZARD, UBISOFT, MICROSOFT and so on. So how bad is Valve actually compared to them?
@@appearr7611 they are on the same level valve is a bit better I agree but they are also terrible with handelling their original ips like tf2 and just recently cs2
@@Davenzoid Rumors says that Valve employees can freely choose which projects they want to work on, that explains a lot why some games are basically abandoned and others are constantly receiving updates or suddenly receive a giant update. If that's a good company that depends on the shareholder's view
Looks like a nice game tbh, lets just hope this doesn't turn out like csgo/cs2 or tf2 and actually receives updates. Plus also gets promoted on social media and stuff which would be surprising considering its valve
People also said the same thing when the steam deck was first released, but until now they still getting good updates so for me updates wouldn't be my concerns this time. For me, I'm more worried about the cheaters problem tbh
@@youtubeguy9529 brother, i know it might sounds crazy but i'm pretty sure CS generates more money for them than the steam deck, yet they give more updates to the SD more than CS. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not, but they like to work on things that they're enjoy doing and they thinks is interesting. they've been working on Dota, Tf2 and CS for a while now, i think their devs just want to try out something new. And for a company as big as Valve, they actually dont have that many devs, i don't even think they have 20% the amount of devs than what Riot Games has. That's why it's hard for them to deliver updates to their games while also currently working on 2 new games at the same time (Deadlock and a Mainline Non VR Half Life game)
most fun ive had on a game in a very long time, similar feeling to dota 2 closed beta. also keep in mind Blitz, this game is Icefrogs baby and others from the dota 2 dev team are some of the ones working on this game.
GabeNs Dev:"Lets Develop Anti Cheat for CS" GabeN:"Youre fired cheaters make us money" GabeNs Dev:"Pls dont fire me i develop your next flop" GabeN:"Ok"
ill play this game when they add meepo i feel like valve wants a game that grabs some of the valorant or overwatch audience, tho i feel like its just going to grab dota and tf2 players mostly, as a tf2 player turned dota player i feel like the reason i like to play dota is that the only limit to your skill is your brain (most of the time), but if at the end of the day if you need to be able to aim to kill someone then some of importance of itemization and things of that nature would be devalued. I have a feeling that valve is going to make itemization more obvious and straight forward in this game as opposed to dota.
I have a little 40 hours clocked so far and yes it's great. I think Valve just looked at the list of then most successful games they have in store and decided to take inspiration from the genius devs move that made Risk of Rain 2 which is basically Risk of Rain 1 but in 3d instead of 2d and although the game is exactly the same the fact that it is in 3d totally changes the gaming experience. When you look at Overwatch and Dota 2 which are very similar games there is one obvious issue, these games are just awful to watch especially if you do not play them, as for a 3rd person view it makes the action very easy to read on a screen even for people who do not play it, which is very important for esport and modern gaming in general which is heavily assisted by live streaming nowadays. 😊
I'm having a great time with deadlock, i understand that TF2 fans (myself included) would very much enjoy a little love but come on guys, the game is 17 years old, DOTA 2 is 11 y/o, even saw Blitz complain about the old stuff that the game still have because of player nostalgia, things that kinda existed on DOTA 1 (the mod). This game here is a step FOWARD in the genre. Be like Valve and accept TF2 death (don't hate me i love the game but come on i was a kid when i first played).
I have a lot of confidence in this game. Been playing it a ton lately and it’s so hard to put down, movement feels great and the characters are super fun to play. Personally I’m not too worried about a lack of updates when it launches. DOTA2 devs are working on the game and it seems to be catering towards that audience more so than the TF2 or CS fans. They’re likely gonna try to set up tournaments for this game meaning there will be frequent updates like DOTA2
WHy would Valve pull off something like this? Because they want to. They are not bound by shareholders or investors. Valve does what valve wants. And Icefrog is the lead designer of this project. Everybody knows Icefrog don't want to work on Dota forever and there's been rumors he wants to make his own game.
Im kinda an addict now I wont lie. I think it keeps the high character strength that makes DOTA fun while streamlining aspects like laning and character drafting. Really satisfying and engaging farming system in lane combo'd with some really fun character designs make a big fan
Honestly the game is great with a lot more depth than I expected. I think Valve looked what Risk of Rain genius move to make risk of rain two in 3d. You see games like dota are unwatchable if tou don't play the game but this 3rd person perspective makes it a LOT easier to understand and to read what's going on even if you don't play the game, which is a big plus when we talk esport and modern gaming in general.
Yo man, would highly suggest to take this down if you want to play it when it releases. Valve has banned The Verge for making a review on it already within one day. I understand views are important but its up to you if you'd like to risk it. Open Beta probably isnt too far away.
You are correct, Valve is a service company before all, they do service, not entertainment with their Steam platform which is a service. But accesorily they do games every once in a while when they have people inside the company who decide to go for a project that interest them. Steam has a start up company trait, they have top notch people from their industry who are pretty much free to suggest a project to the company and if people are willing to join then a new project is born, it's very different than a gaming company, especially from a company that big. Valve is main force is the platform they made, not their games, you will not find anywhere a platform that put the customer first and service them so well. Public reviews, easy refunds, a mutliples gigantic communities that make mods, pretty much owning the games development for some games. Once last thing, Valve is not on the market, they don't sell share and because for Gaben their only customers is and must be the gamer. Counter Strike, Dota, Left for dead, are all project Valve bought into early, they have not created these games but since they are very good at what they do when they see a game with a lot of opportunity they could help to improve or reach full potential they will invest buy the franchise.
Trust me, they will test a lot of way to reap money from us. TF2 during its early days were like that. Item set bonus, crates, mvm tour ticket. Every new updates they add, they need to create a new stream of revenue. The only reason they stop updating TF2 was that Meat Your Match pissed off tons of players and the game hadn't recovered much from then.
Bro you're actually cracked as Yamato. 😂I've been playing since May and I've tried to win using Yamato but I just keep getting cooked 💀. I've had far more luck as Pocket and my Ivy my main.
The game doesnt feel or play anything like TF2, why would they not make something different so they can give love to TF2, that makes zero sense. It's actually quite unique because its a MOBA, but feels like a third person shooter, which it is, but movement, reloading and cover and parries are all cool additions. Don't think they're competing against themselves because TF2 is nothing a like, sure DOTA 2 is similar but everything about it being a shooter is what makes it different.
Deadlock is just Valve using both their shooter and DOTA 2 devs to create something fresh while still playing to their strengths. A lot of people keep making the comparison to TF2 and while a few characters like Lash and Warden definitely look the part, everything else gives off heavy DOTA 2 vibes
