My base is located at the volcano. I have a castle, a field, a gazebo, a ranch, a factory, a bar, and a sauna area all at once. If I need something, I drag Anubis to the factory to have it make something, otherwise I leave my pals be to do as they wish.

I dunno, I might be in between. I feed them cooked berries,keep them on basic production, allow access to two t2 spas, provide t2 beds, and will sell any pal that gets sick. You are replacable. I have provided basic nurishment and sanity. If you get sick, you are not worth crafting medicine for. Take your damn breaks. Eat your your berries, wash your testicles, work. Sleep. Repeat.

I like being nice to my pals. I make sure there's always 2 ponds to relax in at every base.

As a Amazon driver for a DSP, I can 100% say I don’t compare with that at all.

@@maxzett I staff the robots and run the department, making sure people are hitting rates, that volume is being pushed, and we’re minimizing cost as much as possible. I basically manage about 40-70 people during a shift and am the shot caller for everything that goes on While also being oppressed by the area manager who over-relies on me. So while I have my own pals I’m just as much a special “unlucky” pal

You could put them to work on a (semi)reasonable schedule, treat them right, and do some of the work on your own. You don't need to go either extreme - Pal pamper palace or full-on RimWorld sweatshop of horrors.

Recently captured Pals have very low SAN but goes up the longer they stay in the Palbox for some reason. I recently captured a Lyleen from one of those Free Pal Alliance raids and immediately got her working in my farm base, but her SAN was 48, but with decent enough beds and a quality sauna, she did not give me any more trouble after. Lyleens are pretty rare so I'm glad I didn't have to do anything drastic.

You can also get a Woolipop, force feed everyone free cotton candy, and force them to be happy all the time. I suspect the devs will eventually add diabetes.

Actually I tell them (insert spongebob voice here): "Get in the tub!" and throw them into the pal relaxation pool until they're happy again. They manage to get to the relaxation pools on their own most of the time, though.

@@Elora445 Nah, the way it works is that luxury things boost their SAN, and you want SAN to be at 100 (the max value). There's no reason to have SAN at a lower value. They're not suppsoed to slack off if they're happy.

I caught the alpha at level 18 in my first playthrough. :P Took me forever and I had rank 3 capture power, but I got it!

Could also just be a normal Mammorest, level 30 ones spawn in the Beginnings Plateau and normal ones have a better catch rate than Alphas. Still would be really low chance, but possible. I mean, I caught one on a low chance as well.

The only thing I need is for them to put the wheat in the mill and then the flour in the cooking pot on their own.

Mostly same. I got one dedicated to cutting wood, one mining and one who heats my furnace. Then I got one seeding, one watering and another bringing the berries to their food bin that they all eat from. Then I got the hot spring close to the woodcutting and mining stations since those seem to drain sanity the fastest.

the cool this bout the game is you get options, you can be a pal enslavin monster and crack the whip till they drop then turn them into food for the newer pals, orrrrr, you can treat them like the adorable floofy criters they are and spoil em with lot of tasty foods not made from theyre companions and comfy beds head pats and a freaken day spa for them... the world options let you make the game into an almost dark soul level brutal unforgiving world dificulty or a total brease the games as hard or easy as you want and you can focus on any aspect you want, base building, catching and training and breeding pals, industry!!! the games content dense especialy for early access at its price range.

If you like that, good for you, but don't expect all others to like it. Because that would actually be a hot take there. It's also from a dev that - as seen with Craftopia, drops bootleg games in an asset flip style into early access with a roadmap and then... never touches them again. Next to Palworld, they already announced their next early access game. Three games. All early access. Don't expect much love to the game going forward.

That happens to me in every open world game. I try to do something specific and follow chests, trials and collectibles all over the map for an hour+. I started to just excessively use map markers in some games so I can do the shit I was planning on doing and get back to the chests etc later.

Tbh that's something palworld does really well, you almost always have something that you want to go towards. And the mammorest at the start is also a good idea, having a big monster to want to capture or kill gives a great objective without ever needing to have it written.

Depends on how you play. They play up the entire free labor and such in the store page, but it's been my experience many players try and keep their pals happy and healthy. Many never make the command podium and many more still I know have taken the no cleaver oath. Games like this even against little 1 and 0 can really show what you are in the dark.

Pokemon pets? You force them into dog fights.

Palworld had hot tubs and petting but they are still slaves who work themselves to death. You only create the hot tubs and luxury beds so they work harder and don’t complain.

Great thing about Palworld= no microtransactions

Remember you can manually throw them back in to get them back up to good condition rather than waiting if you haven't figured that out yet.

Depends how you played the game. I could never set my base to the "amazon" difficulty. I haven't butchered a pal, when it came time to sell pals, I only sold to the merchants never the black market guy, I always made the appropriate medicines for my pals to ensure their health, etc
