Connor coming out was such a cultural reset, it changed my life, I was in the deep deep closet and it helped me figured out a few things. It was a long ride, but watching that video was one of the first step in my very gay journey. I'm always thankfull to you for it and proud of seeing you become this lovely person

Your coming out video came out on my 16th birthday and I remember feeling so proud of you and admiring how much more comfortable you were just being your entire self without apology. I got to go see you on book tour a few years later and I remember telling you that these videos were how I started watching you even though you said that you were so embarrassed by them. Thank you for being someone I can watch when I need to listen to someone familiar and having a fun time. As a 22 year old now it is crazy to think that I’ve been watching your videos for so long!

I remember you coming out, it was a very strong video for me, I cried with you that day. Accepting my sexuality was a struggle and I related so much to you. It was a turning point in my acceptance journey ! I'm glad you let those vids up. I think it can show closeted people that you can change and grow and that while it's cringey, it's something you're allowed to do!

i've watched you since before your coming out video, you were the first youtuber i watched and honestly my first internet crush & i genuinely wanted to meet you. when you came out, i immediately wanted to meet you even more because of how freaking brave you were in revealing who you truly were. you inspired me to be me. you still inspire me to this day, with your love for poetry and filmography - i never thought i was valid because of my love for these same things but you proved me wrong. this video brought back so many memories and I'm glad i still watch you because you're an amazing role model and your videos always make me smile. thank you for being who you are connor, you've done so many good things for the world.

I was in class when you uploaded your coming out video in 2014 and I sprinted to my dorm after class to go watch the video. It definitely meant a lot to me and I think I watched it multiple times and let out a big sigh of relief. You coming out helped me in so many ways. So thanks Connor.

omg the character development? who’s that straight guy and where is he now? the way you talked, the hair, the clothes, the body language, THE MESS (!!!!). I was here 10 years ago and have watched those videos but watching them today is a whole experience it was not easy being gay 10 years ago, we all knew who the other gays were but everyone was trying to convince themselves that they were straight. the gays today are out and proud at a much younger age and it’s so good to see that.

Omg I actually remember exactly where I was when you came out haha. I had just gotten home from school and was eating with my family when I got the notification. I remember watching the video under the table... didn't even know what "coming out" meant yet and I remember gasping very loudly when I found out. It's actually really cool how you were my favorite youtuber at the time and how you basically introduced me to what the LGBT community was. Because of you, I got educated... became an ally... and just recently this year I came out myself ✌️

When you came out I hadn’t discovered that I’m bisexual. I felt selfhatred till I was 21. I just came out last year to my mom and brother. I feel for your younger self, he did what he could and evolved to the incredible person you are. I used to watch your videos back then. I still do right now and I’m just glad to see you thriving. this coming out video literally feels like yesterday .. the fact that it was in 2014 absolutely blows my mind, but what truly blows my mind is that i was surprised! why do i remember being like 13 listening to these tips about guys liking you 😭
