Alabang has also been famous for a neighborhood where rich Filipinos live. It's in the same category like the neighborhoods of Forbes Park, White Plains, Corinthian Gardens and San Juan.

I think Alabang is a business and commercial district of Muntinlupa City. That area was part of the Mango Farm, stretching far into Ayala Alabang Village and Alabang Village. A cousin of mine has a house in Ayala Alabang and I stayed there last year. Thanks for sharing.

There is an exclusive village there, home to many well-known celebrities and millionaires. Another interesting place is Las Casa de Acuzar in Bataan. Lots of interesting places in Bataan.

Woah! Welcome here in south George and Lucy! Muntinlupa City (where Alabang is) is the southernmost part of Manila. After Muntinlupa, it is Laguna already.

Welcome to the laid back south!😊 Been living here my while life and people in this part of the Metro are usually just the laid back sort where you see people just casually hanging around with family or friends. Wish you can come back for more of Alabang because you barely scratched the surface. You got the right vibe because Alabang and even the neighboring places are comprised of large residential areas. Where you went is near one of the most affluent villages in the Philipines.

Alabang is in Muntinlupa City. Part of the southern bit of Metro Manila which includes Parañaque, Las Piñas and Muntinlupa (often grouped together as Muntiparlas). These three cities are largely suburban with a lot of gated communities and villages. 30 years ago it looked really different so it is a relatively young city. On a regular non-quarantine weekday, it is actually pretty quiet in the malls and commercial areas since everyone is at work/school. The weekends are packed though. Those of us who live in the south love the laid back vibe. One day you should get a “local” to show you around (I volunteer, have lived in the south all my life and am always eager to show off our ‘hood, which I truly love.). I am sure I am one of hundreds who would volunteer! People in the south tend to be very close knit, most having gone to school in the area and grown up together. Very very different vibe.

In the early 90s, there was a Christmas fair in that area called "Big Bang sa Alabang"... go figure 😆

If you go back there and miss the traditional British meal (ie. Sunday roast) go to Union Jack Tavern in Festival Mall. They also have a little shop extended from the restaurant that sells UK products.

I am learning so much British from the both of them. Just listening to you is already a big deal to learn British the practical way.

Alabang is the "chillax area" of Metro manila . Home to coffee shops, house parties and bar hangouts or restaurant hang outs. Westgate is mostly restaurants, coffee shops and car shops.

Try to visit Eastwood City in Libis, Quezon City. I think you will like it there.. tons of restos and shops like a mini version of BGC.

I miss Muntinlupa. I can say that the Alabang's commercial area is a lot more better than Makati but that is just me. There are lots of trees and greens that makes the place look fresher. There are places to visit when you're in Alabang namely Alabang Town Center (ATC), Festival SuperMall, behind the mall there is a jogging /biking trail park. There is also a golf course there if you play golf. Just accross the ATC there's Molito Mall and recreation area. The Cyberzone Park and Madrigal Business Park. Not to mention the Ayala Alabang Village where wealthy people live. The area is not as busy as Makati or BGC which makes it a good place to relax while strolling in the afternoon.

Yes! Alabang is also part of Metro Manila there are some apartments,condo units basically also like bgc it's a residential area,Commercial and business center.

yes this is where i grew up, used to be forest like near around festival mall through ayala. Its now becoming one of the busiest area in metro manila. You could visit the posh areas where affluent people live like alabang hills, massive houses and very exclusive subdivision.

George can make a vlog of himself doing car reviews coz he seems to be knowledgeable enough. That'll be a great new adventure for him @the juicy vlog

Hello George and Lucy. That area you went to was Westgate. You should check out the whole place as there are a lot of different and interesting cafes and restaurants there. It is also next to S&R Supermarket and a stand alone huge Uniqlo shop. But it gets better if you would go further to Alabang Town Center; then Molito. Alabang Town Center is Ayala Center/ Greenbelt but in Alabang. The whole atmosphere is laid back and with a lot of shopping and great dining options. There are cinemas as well. Molito also has outdoor dining and a small park. I think you should really explore more and have the great time!

Hey Lucy and George! It was nice for you to visit Alabang. Alabang is actually in Muntinlupa City. The good thing about the area you visited is that it is called Filinvest City, it ia a neighborhood development by Filinvest. It is a sustainable neighborhood recently awarded LEED-nd Gold Certificate for sustainable neighborhood development. It is the first and only GREEN city in the Philippines. My 2 condo units are actually there😁 opposite SnR and opposite the pedxing u featured. Bean and Yolk is in the Westgate area where retail, wellness and amusement are located. Northgate is where the businesses are. Mostly IT and BPO buildings.

Yummy pancake .... in case you’re gonna pass by again to Alabang, try visit Evia area which is few more blocks, less 10 minutes drive from Westgate Alabang (place from your blog). Along the way is S&R and Landers... Another breathtaking of foreigners as well with the locals..

Looks a lot like many SoCal outdoor mall/restaurant area you’ll find in the OC, San Diego and the nicer area of Los Angeles

That's what they call The West Gate, the area where you've been. Further down that place there is MTB trail where you can enjoy the trail rides in the bushes not to forget jumps and drops as well. Lots of MTB riders during the weekend.

You guys should visit New Port City as well, for a more European vibes😊

Why not try to go on a Road trip in Nuvali. Then go to Casile Road going to Tagaytay.

I am working in dubai and living in buli, alabang 30 yrs ago. Wooow alabang is now amazing.

It's always nice to go to Alabang where a lot of nice subdivisions are. These private securely-gated villages are rich w/ lots of trees, esp. Ayala Alabang Village whetein the main roads are lined w/ big acacia trees, beautiful big houses and well-kept gardens and parks, vast soccer field and exclusive big school. Same w/ Hillsborough and Alabang Hills.

I never used to appreciate my place, you made me appreciate it now. I miss the South and the Philippines.

Brgy.alabang is one of most happiest christmas and new year around metro manila,, so called "SAMAHANG BATYA" it's a group of every area in alabang and many places you can chill and hang out with friend's. Enjoy the view of alabang👌👌👌

Alabang is a suburb of the richy and . affluent Filipino families, do try exploring Ayala Alabang and other villages around the district.. where Mansions are lined up side by side ..also explore Festival Mall and the Alabang Town Center...it's one of the most highly urbanized areas south of Manila

Try festival mall. Molito also in alabang. Alabang is located in Muntinlupa city which is south of metro of manila. Everything here in the south is laid back, chill and greener because of the trees. Actually lesser trees now than before. But do enjoy and come back while there is no traffic.

Alabang is in the city of Muntinlupa. You can also find exclusive and gated communities in Alabang like Pontefino and Versailles along Daang Hari Road (entry point is in Madrigal Business Park).

You should go back there in Alabang and explore ... visit the Landmark / Festival mall ...drive some more and visit ATC (Alabang Town Center) ... and drive further to visit Angry Dobo restaurant along Daang Hari road. By the way, Daang Hari has so much to offer, Landers superstore, the Vista Alabang ( I recommend you go inside) , and on your road trip you’ll see plant gardens and plant shops and further more there’s the Starmall too. When you reach this location, you’ll be surprised there’s this Aguinaldo road that will even lead you all the way to Tagaytay. Sigh , I miss my neighborhood!

Someone mentioned Eastwood here...and I agree that you two has to visit that place in Quezon City. It is just less than 30 minutes drive from BGC if you take the C5 road (never Edsa). Remember the place it is called Eastwood City but it is not a city per se, it is a modern leisure place called township where residential condos mixes with all the commercial establishments in one compound. What to see there? fine dining many of it! signature shops, a supermarket and architectural buildings much designed after the European design, you would feel home in there. It is better to go there in the afternoon going towards night time because the night life there is impressive! (I just wonder how it is now due to the GCQ measures)..then look for the church called Padre Pio, such wonderful garden and the interior of the church is absolutely solemn and with a sacred-like ambiance. You gonna pray solemnly when you get to the church. Near Eastwood is the huge S&R grocery center, I wonder why you guys have not seen to go S&R or Landers, you would see some of your British or American branded food there. Take care!

You should've try to check out "Kanin Club" there in Westgate Alabang. It's some Filipino fusion food. MUST try their crispy dinuguan, laing, kare-kare and more..

That's the place I hanged out one time there in Alabang (I'm usually go Alabang Town Center or Festival Mall) but I love that area when I went there. It's cozy for me. I will go back there when everything is OK. I don't have a car. This area is the business district of the south - Northgate, Westgate, and Madrigal Business Park.

I really miss my work place in Northgate. Hope to go back to my workplace after this pandemic. Working from Home since March

I lived and worked in Dubai for years and just came back to Manila last year... well Alabang has developed through the years specially around Alabnag Village which is home to the old rich of Manila hehehhe....you should go to Alabang Town Center or ATC..my favorite place to go there...

13 yrs ago I was in ALABANG TOWN CENTER and my country girl heart just overwhelmed by their sliding doors! It opens by itself without pushing/pulling it. hahaha... wish I could go back and will see some improvements.

Go to Nuvali in Laguna which is an hour from BGC. It is as fancy as BGC and Alabang but with less pollution

Welcome to the South! Visit Santa Rosa and Nuvali Laguna, outlet stores are there. Westgate, Alabang has the first off road Uniqlo store. I am glad I live in the South, where the air is still clean lol

Hi if you guys can drive for another 30 minute from Alabang you can go further south and visit Nuvali, Im sure you can find lots of good shops and dine. 😉

I think you visited Westgate, which is part of Filinvest Alabang estate. Festival Mall and Northgate are in Filinvest Alabang estate also. A few hundred steps more to the west is Ayala Alabang, then beyond that is the Madrigal estate. These contiguous communities (partly commercial, mostly residential) have a suburban quality to them.

Muntinlupa (Alabang is just one if its districts) is the perfect balance of urban and rural! You would've loved it more if there was no pandemic! The malls (Festival, and ATC) are insane, lot's if places to hangout and chill. It's at the southern tip of Metro Manila where everyone and everything feels so chill!

There’s so much more to explore in the southside of the metro, like Las Pinas, Filinvest and if you want to go further try going to Nuvali in Laguna.

Glad you guys visited Alabang. Hope you visit Festival Mall as they have a Water Garden and Riverpark if you come back again.

you've been to westgate.. there is Filinvest City and Madrigal Business Park...Westgate is at the middle...2 big mall are also there, you got to check,,The Festival Mall and Alabang Town Center short for ATC.. If you want to see the whole metro manila view or see the great view of Laguna lake, better try Crimson Hotel.. On the other side of that is Northgate were almost all the buildings there were designed for the call center industry... One of the famous villages in metro manila is at the back of westgate...it's Ayala Alabang where most of the rich and famous live..It's live the Beverly Hills of the Philippines.. At the side of it is Daan Hari with new designed houses..Got to check that too... Alabang is a great place if you want to escape Manila traffic and head to the south--Laguna, Cavite..Batangas, etc... I 'lived there for 12 years..I love the place..

That's Westgate, a very small area. You should've gone to the Alabang Town Center which is very near that place, maybe a 3-min drive, in front of the Ayala Alabang Village, one of the most exclusive villages in the Philippines.

This is the uptown in Manila Alabang is a high in class neighborhood. Ayala , Filenvest, SM that location is like South Beach Florida. Check out the Alabang Girls song by: Andrew E. Its popularity in the 90s.

Try to visit EASTWOOD city in quezon city... A small westernized looking city in the philippines..
