Mr Robot is the perfect show to rewatch after digesting it. One thing I noticed while doing so is that the only thing Esmail did not do with the show is a musical number lol
This was definitely a mind fuck the first watch lmao. It definitely does a good job of coming full circle towards the end (as you’ve seen by now). Elliot's monologue and that whole scene with whiterose might be my favorite in the whole show, along with the realizations to come, it’s nice to see and know how many things come full circle in that scene alone. The book in the room is the same one mr robot was reading in season 1 before pushing Elliot off the peer, in which he reads a passage talking about escaping death. "don’t leave me here" is what the note in the game said, contrary to the message "leave me here" which was the message for Elliot left by Mr robot in the allsafe servers way back in the very first episode. I actually liked how you pointed out the "I love you" could also be directed towards the audience with the camera placement, never thought about that before. It’s important to note the one thing Elliot did to enter this world and have that big moment, was by saying he loved Mr robot, that he loved HIMSELF, reminding himself of why he’s really here. As for Elliot saying "it’s an exciting time in the world" it’s just a nice little callback to the very first episode, the first thing Mr robot ever says to Elliot on the subway… "it’s an exciting time in the world right now, exciting time!" Which in the first episode could be used as foreshadowing for the economic shift about to happen, but in this episode, i see it as more of an acceptance from Elliot, it’s an exciting time in the world, now everyone can enjoy it. His work is done. Also, one last small detail that I myself only noticed a little bit ago, during the plant explosion, at the very last split second before the screen completely goes red, it appears that Elliot disappears from his seat, and all you can see is Mr robot sitting down. He takes the hit for Elliot, once more. Fire reaction as always, can’t wait for the lest two 💯

Now that I know you've watched every episode before posting I can say that White Rose convinced Angela by finding a girl who looks and sounds like her from her childhood. The actress who played the girl who asked Angela all the questions also played kid Angela in flashbacks
