📺 VIDEO DESCRIPTION- In this video I travel to Quartzsite Arizona in the American Southwest in my remodeled older pickup truck camper. I find a place on (BLM Bureau of Land Management) land where I do some boondocking/dry camping. I go to a massive RV show tent event where I meet some amazing nice people and find out what it's really like to be a part of the RV community in Quartszite, AZ. I find out how to cast iron cook a more affordable steak option over an open campfire that ends up being better than I expected!! During this video I open gifts from subscribers and use the items in this video. From an apple air tag dog collar, to a Damascus knife!! I show you my new rv camper upgrades and the finished bathroom remodel!!

Watching for the first time this evening. The owner has said several times, 'Mason hasn't been himself for a few days.' My thoughts went directly to the clamshell or dog cave bed. He is probably sleeping more soundly than before and like his owner stated, 'he feels safe.' Your act of kindness is very much appreciated.

I have a male and a female adult German shepherd. They are ALWAYS waiting at the door when I come home. Couple weeks ago I got home and only my guy was waiting. Walked all the way up to my female sleeping, said her name and petted her for probably 60 seconds before she woke up and rolled over like "oh hey, what's up?". Scared me lady!

Great idea parking next to a landmark..... power pole 😀 Mom used to make Swiss Steak using Flat Iron steak. Yummy looking meal. The bathroom really turned out nice. You have some super subscribers. I really enjoy your videos. I'm a 71 year old women that has camped most of my life. That's when I am the happiest. Your closer to God when you are in nature camping. Love the night time when your tired from your day and every thing is quiet and your hust looking at the fire. Only thing you are missing is the CD by Willie Nelson called "STARDUST". It was made for sitting around the fire at night. Very low key and mellow. You will love it.

Hi there. I just came across your channel today and I am very impressed how normal and down to earth you are. You hit on my love for camping and being involved with an online church. I'm disabled so I watch church online from a church in Columbus, Ohio. I'm living in Indian Lake, Ohio. I love your adorable little dog, because I have one too. You are so sweet and thoughtful of your pup. Anyone that loves his dog as much as you is ok in my book. You remind me so much of my sons, who all have 1-3 dogs! You should think about putting some signs on your rigs with your RU-vid info in it. That will give you more exposure to people that follow your channel. When I'm camping in a place with a lot of people in it, I set out my generator for them to see. If they don't want to hear it running, they will go some place different. LOL

I just dont see many pickup truck campers travelling or on the road. Back in the mid late 60's we travelled all over the American west in one. My parents and us 3 kids. No room in the cab for all of us so I usually stayed in the camper. Loved it. Gotta remember this was well before internet days so I played a lotta solitaire card games and read scifi books and comics. One downside is it sure did get hot!!!! The side windows were opened but the front window over the cab didnt.

Here in Arizona I’ve actually noticed an increase in truck campers. In fact, I’m headed towards the truck camper rally down south next week and there will be 450 truck campers there! I kind of think they’re making a comeback 🤷

That looked like a fun place to camp. It wasn't too crowded. I don't know that I would like staying there a long time though. Sometimes it is nice to have a conversation with someone but quiet and solitude is what I enjoy. You wore Mason out with all that walking he was sleeping so soundly...love him. That steak looked delish! I am going to try a flatiron if I see them in the store. I love a sweet onion cooked in cast iron when I have a steak...it adds such a good flavor...that part of the video had me drooling! Loved this video and look forward to next week. Enjoy!

Your pup looks so comfy in his new jacket. It's gorgeous! My boi loves his sweater.. it hugs them and makes them feel safe. Absolutely love that tea kettle. I've been looking for one for myself for upcoming trips. I'm going to check it out online. That bacon keeper with a strainer is really cool. I just use a jar with a lid. Did you know they sell bacon grease by the pound at the grocery store for about $8 a pound? I was surprised.

I loved this video. Mason's new coat and safety harness are awesome as well. I liked that you went and walked around the fairgrounds area, that was a nice new inclusion. And talking about your gifts. Flatiron steak tastes really good, but most restaurants don’t serve it because of the cut. It’s basically a hit or miss. Sometimes it’s very tender with very little waste, and other times it’s really tough with a lot of gristle.

Your Jesus Journey seem like really great folks to me. Besides bringing the good message to all that would listen they are real nice folks. I asked them a couple questions about one of the systems they use with their RV and right away they answered and explained everything step by step. We have a blonde Schipperke about the same size as your pup. When he was on a normal store bought kibble, his eyes would weep just like yours does. We have since moved him to different kinds of raw dog food and that cleared all the drippy eye issue up. He's had raw wet food, raw dry food, and raw freeze dried food. It is obviously going to be more expensive than the cheap garbage from grocery stores.

I dont like Quartzite because of the amount of people. I don't want to generalize but most are hipsters or hippies. Not my cup of tea. I enjoy the old school camper that just sits and drinks coffee. They usually keep to themselves. Glad you visited that area. Try KOFA on the south side, awesome spot to camp.

My Chiweenie (Chihuahua and Dachshund 'weiner dog' mix) also winks at me when I ask if he's ok. Mason is a good pup and you sure take care of him well. Flank steak is cut from the abdomen, not the more tender rib area... cube it and cook it in a crock pot for better results (beef stew, fajitas, mongolian beef, whatever ethnic direction you desire, just break it down and then season it for a meal). Nothing wrong with it, it just needs low and slow to get tender. Each cut has their own cooking methods, that's all. You never hear of anybody crock pot cooking filet mignon, because it's already so tender to start with. Choose your cut and cook accordingly. Quartzsite is a blast for desert camping in the winter, and I go often (live in Phoenix) at the beginning and end of the peak season. Every couple of years my wife will want to walk through the tents, but otherwise, I avoid January and the crowds. Nice upgrades on your camper! Real good to see others seek Jesus! I need more time to read the good book, or give up so many distractions so I can. I'll make a trip to Quartzsite in February, then I'll be making plans with my wife for trips somewhere in March and April, and then it's back to the forest in northern Arizona for the summer. I didn't know Quartzsite was a place, just thought it was a stone. True story. You really have the right idea. I am getting older and stuck home too often. My dream is to travel in a camper of some sort. Taking steps slowly to move in that direction. I do think creating community is really important. You can use a heat gun or blow torch to fix epoxy items. Just don't put the heat too close to your item.

Haven't been to Quartside yet!! Almost looks like too many people. But if they've got alot of what I call junk stores that's where I will be !! I cooked a couple of those little breakfast steaks with Rosemary and Thyme was pretty good , but I ate the herbs after they got a little crunchy!! Pretty good! Enjoy your channel!! Safe travels!

I enjoyed the video. I haven't been able to watch. We live on my husband's SS so we don't have internet or satalite and so I don't have but 10 gigabytes so don't get to watch very much, but I'm thankful I have my husband and we are still able to take care of ourselves. God is good. I hope Mason is ok and I love his jacket. Stay safe.

When you set up camp, move the jeeper over to another spot nearby and plant it as a decoy. That takes up one side of your personal space.

FYI re flat iron steak. They are generally cut in half after removing from the beef. Large membrane has to be removed. Only 1 per animal. Vert flavorful but anything over medium rare is going to give your jaw a workout. I tenderize mine with a meat tenderize and seasoned well. Cook over high heat fast. Look for black Angus beef which in my humble opinion is the best and price just as low. Watch that you don't mistake marbling for that connective tissue/grisle and enjoy.

Watching you makes me miss AZ. I lived in Tonopah and spent every spare minute I had hiking around the Saddle Mtn area with my Chi-weenie, Tick. He was a short haired version of Mason. There is something special about being alone in the desert with your dog.
