I find it interesting that when Wales play cat and mouse like this, along with 2008 against New Zealand in response to the Haka, they lose. Whilst when England do it, like this and against Ireland in 2003 vs Ireland when Johnson refused to move, they win.
@@Conorguill no class? It was nothing more than a mistake, a very happy one as it turned out. That Classy team refused to budge for a team of known bullies. Salty salty tears
@@dazeng4633 In which case? In both this game v Wales and in the game v Ireland, England were the offenders. Both times they behaved without class. As it happens, they won both times and were the better team both times. Just a shame that they behaved as they did. ABs & Saffies have managed to win a lot without any of this cheap BS
Not sure why Wales were not ready and breached pre match agreement. England went out on the understanding they would not be kept waiting more than a minute. Referee or IRFU post match panel should have penalised Wales captain.
@@orical2832 a couple of time, not several, and what has your retort got to do with wales game? i was at twickenham in 2002 england 53 south Africa 3 though! you probably erased this from memory
Lol the irony that your post is petty and disrespectful by calling us a horrible lot (didn't know you knew everybody in England to say we're all horrible) but thanks for your input anyway.
@@14nst3w4rt "Won the battle lost the war" - What a stupid analogy. The 6 Nations is a completely different championship than the world cup. You do realise that right?
As a Welshman who was there that day, honestly I now look back on this and I'm pleased England came away with the win. This whole business about making them wait in the tunnel, hoping they'd then be made to wait in the cold outside is unsportsmanlike in my view. Just quite petty. No idea whose idea it was, but it backfired superbly. England were under real pressure here. They lost heavily two years ago, and also saw Wales lift the trophy. Cardiff can be a noisy and hostile environment (especially when England are visiting). They were hosting the RWC later the same year and Wales were in their pool. Then this nonsense - coming out to the tunnel at the agreed time, only to be made to wait. It was all against them, but they soaked it up and won. If youre a rugby fan, you can't not have respect for that.
@Thomas Brown, really? Another one who don’t know that the English use of the term British is rather recent. They spent the prior 1300 years attacking the British. A people they know in their language as Welsh! The reason why the Cymro British call themselves Welsh is the fact they were forced to speak English. Hence they now use their terminology for themselves. How can you not know that? When you have a Cymro Surname! England was founded by Anglo Saxons, Scotland founded by Scoti, Wales founded by the British.
The name of the Island literally comes from their language, which was still being refer to as British up to and around the mid 1800s. Tolkien himself hated the fact that the English started using the term British. I’d look up his Lecture on British and Germanic languages at Oxford. He explains it far better than i
