A mid winter trip to the cabin to clear snow. It turns out it was more than our equipment could handle. The snow blower and roof rake broke in this record setting snow year =
Yes I was happy to get the help. I can still do it but not as fast as I used to be able to work. The dogs love it up there no matter what season it is. Thanks for watching!
You guys did a heck of a job moving all that snow!! Makes me rethink being mad having to go out and shovel my 8 or 12 inches !! Lol. Great video again George.
We got just over 3" so less than an inch from the record. Looks like we'll make it if the forecast for the week is accurate. Everyone is ready for spring!! Glad you liked the video and hope for spring to arrive soon!
We are all good. Tired of the long, extended winter up north and snowing here still in town. Less than an inch needed now to break the record for snow in a season. By the looks of things, we will make it. Thanks for watching Larry!
Winter is tough on equipment and people! At some point we will say no more moving snow and wait for it to melt. Hopefully that time is coming soon. Thanks for watching!
Thanks M Hunter. Long, tough winter for people, equipment and critters in the woods. We need spring to get here soon. This winter has been a challenge for everyone and everything. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Ernest. I wish I was fishing rather than shoveling snow in the video but it is still winter here. We just had 3.3" of snow in town yesterday and only a half inch from breaking the record with more snow predicted this week. Bring on spring!! Thanks for watching!
Thanks Robert. Moving snow isn't the most enjoyable activity to do at the cabin but if we want to use it in the winter, it is necessary. Thanks for watching.
Hi George. Hope all is well with you and family. I have had an unfortunate run lately. I had a full hip replacement last Monday and the pre op chest X-ray showed a 5mm mass on my left lung. Now waiting for biopsy result to see what next steps will be.
Wishing you the best in the journey ahead. I hope you get good news and recover quickly with your hip. All is good here. Thanks for the update. Hopefully we will get some videos posted soon. Take care my friend.
No that is more than usual even at the cabin. We are less than an inch away in town from the record snow for a season. The forecast for the week is chance of more snow Wed-Sat so I think we will break the record. It is a long winter this year in so many ways. Glad you liked the video guy!
Record amount in town. Not sure at the cabin but close if it didn't break a record. Light snow in town this morning in fact, 4/22/23. Wish spring would arrive! Thanks Scott.
Hey George i was looking at your lake and was wondering if you can get to the Little Isabella River from your place by water or do you have to portage?
There is no direct access so you would need to portage or bushwack. There is outflow but not anything deep enough. Beavers usually have it blocked too..
It is very shallow. The deepest parts are only about 10ft. or so. The good thing is it is a spring fed lake so water comes in from the bottom so it gets enough oxygen so it does winter kill even though it is so shallow. The other issue is because it is shallow, weeds cover a good portion of the lake over the summer so harder to fish but makes good habitat for minnows, etc to live in too. I guess pros and cons with a shallow lake like this.
