Naomi Judd not only sang beautiful harmony with her daughter Wynonna, she also was a songwriter as well as a nurse. She is also the mother of the movie actress Ashley Judd. Naomi wrote their hit Love Can Build A Bridge. So many great songs to listen to..my favorite is Rockin' To The Rhythm of the Rain.

This is one of those songs, that gets only more relevant as time passes. It was performed back in the mid 80's but, could have easily been written in today's atmosphere. *The Judds; Mother: Naomi Daughter/singer; Wynonna 2nd Daughter; Ashley Judd. Hollywood actress..

Amber, I doubt you'll see this, but on a personal note, your good vibes and positive spirit is there just when it seems I need it most. I've been going thru lot of hard times lately, and Amber's smile happened to be just what I needed. I doubt you realize how important a "silly YT reaction channel" is to people, but I believe your purpose is to make the world a better place, one smile at a time. Even though it seems small, it can be life altering when you reach someone desperate to find a glimmer of positivity in this cruel world. It's so comforting to know there are good, decent, intelligent, and loving people out there; and that I'm not alone. MR ROB, hold on to that angel tightly!! Rarely does a man receive that kind of blessing! Much love to your whole family, and keep doing God's work. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart

I loved knowing my parents values….my dad was born in 1914, and my mom in 1920. We grew up this way. Our values were the same. I wish I could think of all of the special memories and feelings from those times. I sure loved the peace and family life we used to have in our own family, or with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Trying to hang onto those values takes a lot of effort in these times…

I am sorry that I just found this song and your reactions. I'm a grandpa that tells his grandchildren about the good old days. I am 84 years old. Things are so different anymore that I finally decided to write my autobiography. That way my two great grandsons who are not interested in an old man's stories right now, will be able to read about my life when they are older and maybe become interested. Back when my wife and I got married it was forever, so far, we have been together 62 years. Right now, I am trying to get her to write her autobiography. She has finally started and has finished it up to when we got married. After reading each other's work we were both amazed at how much we didn't know about each other. Love your reaction to this song.

They think another singer singing backup is a duet. They need to take lessons from the above singers & Conway Twitty\ Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton\Porter Wagoner, Johnny Cash\June Carter Cash. I didn’t think I would get emotional hearing this song again but this is one of those songs you remember where you were when you first heard it. Rest In Peace Naomi. You are missed.

Love this song, more Judds, please. They have so many good songs. Some good ones are River Of Time, Come Some Rainy Day, Girls Night Out and Testify To Love. I could go on and on but I will leave the others for a different day.😊

Reminds me of my great-granddad, my best friend til he died when I was about 11. I come from a very different generation. There were ladies in North Carolina who wore hats and gloves to grocery shop. We had good manners and consideration for others. We didn't dress indecently or have sewer mouths. We had respect for our elders--not just parents, but teachers, pastors, doctors...anybody older. We learned how to be self-sufficient (my mama started me in the kitchen at an early age, so I've now been cooking about 70 years). We kids played outside...jumping ditches, climbing trees, catching frogs and riding our bikes with cardboard flaps on the spokes. No TV and the phone was connected to the wall, we had a party line, and the number was only 4 digits. This song makes me a bit nostalgic for those days. Life wasn't perfect, but it was so much easier than today. Thanks for letting an old southern belle share her memories. I won't be here too many more years and these memories will be gone, as well. God bless you both.

I wasn't a huge country fan (even though I live in the South), but I discovered the Judds when I was in high school because my boyfriend liked some country music... isn't how that works? LOL So I was turned on to them when they first came out (in the 80s) and was mesmerized by their amazing vocals and solid messages. Wynonna has an incredible voice and I think you will like a lot of their songs! "Why Not Me" was one of their first big hits. Oh, and they do a great cover of Elvis' "Don't Be Cruel" also! Thanks for the reactions - you guys are so great! : - )

This song is one of my favorites. My grandfather passed on (the only one I knew), he would tell us stories about the old days in eastern Kentucky. He is missed, but he would be so sad to see how things have become in the name of progress.

I grew up listening to the Judds and then Wynona became one of my faves in college, especially her song, No One Else on Earth. Other amazing Judds songs include Mama He's Crazy, Why Not Me, Rockin' to the Rhythm of the Rain, Born to Be Blue, Love Can Build a Bridge, Give a Little Love...just to name a few. Also it would be great for you to watch them live so you can see the chemistry they have as a mother/daughter duo. They had a rocky relationship but all of that disappeared when they performed together! RIP Naomi.
