Two of these are Ayurvedic medicines which should only be prescribed by an ayurvedic doctor. Huberman brings to mind the kind of scientist Jeff Goldman's character in "Jurassic Park" warned about: "You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you knew what you had, you patented it, packaged it, slapped in on a plastic lunch box, and now you want to sell it." Huberman is going the way of Dr. Oz and countless others. Oz could have helped more people cracking their chests than peddling a 21-day diet (which cost him $5.5 million after losing a class-action lawsuit) but he was hooked on celebrity status. @wayner2288 I started with cold showers, 2 minutes every morning or so (they're painful but a game changer). Then progressively reduced medication. Then good sleep habits (waking up early and around the same time every day). Then a balanced diet (only eating whole foods, only eating during meals, meals at the same time from day to day). Then exercising again (only cardio at first but then weight training). That's it mostly, it's been a year and a half since I started and I have no signs of depression anymore (from being in a psychiatric clinic under heavy medication). I since ditched the cold showers about 6 months ago as I don't need them anymore. I feel better than I ever felt my entire life. Good luck on your journey, it's worth it I can assure you !

You cant operate at the level you need to be while held back by alcohol or anything else for that matter, physical health included. I cook whole food meals from scratch every day. It's been cheaper, way healthier and WAY more delicious- sometimes downright fancy even😂. Which supplements were those? I suddenly developed anxiety in 2021, constantly anxious for a few weeks with no obvious external reason. I looked up about treatment for it, and remembered talking to people who had similar symptoms in the past, and it was always a case of cycling on and off different medications, looking for one that would work. I didn't want to do that. At the same time, I realised that my anxiety couple with a couple of other minor symptoms matched those that google suggested for mangesium deficiency. Since magnesium deficiency appears to be so widespread and magnesium is part of our diet anyway, I decided to first treat potential magnesium deficiency by buying a tub of magnesium chloride (since that's chemically that same as having table salt buy with magnesium in it) which was about £15 for 1kg. I added about 1/4 teaspoon to my drinks each day, and within a few days all the symptoms had gone. It could be coincidence, but based on the timings that's unlikely. I also developed persistent acid-reflux a few years ago, which was initially treated using omeprazol but after reading the side-effects I decided to approach it via diet change instead by stopping using omeprazol or any other antacids, cutting out sugary food and eating more fibre. Hey presto, away goes the reflux. I avoided putting myself on the endless medication conveyor belt, but most other people seem content with jumping straight onto it. I don't think that Huberman has given specific advice about either of these things (eliminating reflux, overcoming magnesium deficiency), but they are both advised by other wellness RU-vidrs. In some cases it's not been researched by the medical estiblishment because there isn't any profit to be made from it, but in others they haven't researched it because it's so bleeding obvious that they just can't be bothered to research something that anybody with any sense can see is true. To give an example of my last point, it's obvious that fat people tend to be slower runners, right? Well, trawling through google scholar I could only find a handful of research papers that were published before 2015 which looked at this in any way. Is that because before 2015 people thought there was no correlation between obesity and running speed? No. It's because they could see that the correlation was so obvious that there didn't seem to be any need to do research into it. I suspect that the sudden upsurge into research that looks into how obesity affects athletic performance is in response to the delusional parts of body positivity movements which would claim that obese people are able to do everything just as well as people who aren't obese (which isn't true).

However for the vast majority(probably 80%+) who are eating fast food,takeout, and other processed food it's actually cheaper to get meats on sale and eggs. You are hungry less when you eat nutrient dense foods and Saturated fat that satiates you. Also your ailments often disappear as most are just from inflammation of poor diet or nutrient defiecnces that every American has now. So many people think it's old age when their in 30-50s with chronic aches and pains, it not. It's the lack of collagen/protein in your diet to repair your tendons, is the inflammation from the sugar, it's the extra 50-100lbs you're carrying around.
