Quick clarification on Dodge effects vs Dash effects: Dodging is when you I-frame through an active hitbox with your dash, Dashing is just the movement option itself. You had two different shadow effects proccing on both your dash and your Dodge. Think of Dodge effects like an auto-counter.

Yesterday I literally searched your channel to see if you made an Entropy Effect video. I just had to wait a day it seems.

always good to see more people enjoy this game. For me it is no doubt one best combat in a roguelite. Now i am just waiting on full release to go back to it, which i just noticed is january 31! (also why does release dates always align, that almost same granblue: relink and i know i will i go granblue first)

Finally! The best rogue that came out last year and there were some bangers that came out last year. Once you get used to the fact that combos make your builds insanely buff this game takes off. Just focus on Potentials you will have the best time crushing everything in sight.

BlazBlue getting a rogue gave off the same feeling as when Skul got the Hollow Knight cross over, really came outta nowhere, but very welcome! except this time it's real

Fuck, I'm a fighting game guy. I *loved* BLAZ-blue (ahhaahah) and even I couldn't tell you anything about the story outside of generic anime tropes. Its ridiculous plot/lore is part of its barrier and charm. I just know this game was a completely unexpected surprise ( i think it was originally planned to be a phone app game?). If they make potentials more frequent or give you more ways to flesh out each character's move set it'll easily be 2nd favorite roguelite for me. Edit* Also hakuman is incredibly strong and much easier to play due to his counter being EXTREMELY generous with the timing.

This game is so damn fun. I'm also shocked that my first run went the exact same as yours. Death by giant tree man.

3:32 Probably 2 reasons: 1. The main plot of BlazBlue has concluded 2. The creator of the franchise left Arcsys So there's likely not going to be a new mainline BlazBlue game for quite some time, might as well license it out to another studio for a spinoff game.

If you’re having fun with this, one game I can definitely recommend that currently has a demo is Slave Zero X, it’s definitely got enough play time for maybe a tiny lil video, and WAYYY more depth combo wise. There’s a demo on steam right now and I feel you’d love the biopunk hyper violence aesthetic

Because Ragna does more damage the longer on health he gets, your life-stealing moves will eventually give you more life back compared to what you spent.

For my experience Ragna was the most mechanically but hard to master character ... The potential thingy was the most addicting part for me :D Btw ... Theres some mechanics that game doesn't tell you... There was perfect dodge that triggers tactics attacks. MP and SP were different... SP was gained depends on character, ex. For Mai. You gain them by killing or using spear skill to enemy .

Oh, I wish I'd noticed this game before I'd spent my holiday steam dosh. x3 Also, good runs, fun gameplay, and there's no shame in losing to an Arakune main. :P

It's funny, Ragna is the posterboy for Blazblue, but he's also(imo) one of the harder characters to play as in this game. Balancing health costs and risk/reward healing is something I struggle with. I personally recommend grabbing Es/Lambda 11 as quickly as possible for their data, they're my favorite two to run on support. Hope you're having fun with the game!

The circle and X buttons being opposite is actually the standard in Japan. Circle is confirm and X is cancel there. It's actually standard across the culture, not just video games. I ran into working at a Toyota plant in the US.

Love the shit out of this game. So far I've nearly "beat" it. Curious what they'll add in the 1.0 release. Hopefully some new characters and a reason to play "hard mode" besides just to challenge yourself

Basic movement looks really nice. I swear I will buy this in 0.21 of a second if they put my girl Susie in it, but I'm guessing most BB players are feelin' that way about their main lol. I guess I could play her shitty little bro Hakumen until then... Hmmmm Aw man, it's sick to see Arakune as a boss but I feel like that means Susie will 100% guaranteed be a boss instead of playable lol. Daaamn.

You know, I realize this is my third comment on the same video, but there's a lot of stuff the game doesn't explain very well. Every time you complete a new Phenomena, you gain a permanent passive effect that can trigger in rooms based on the effect. There should be a 'view effect' button that shows you what each phenomena does if you go talk to the NPC associated with them. Regarding SP, each character has specific SP regeneration that is explained on the Super itself. I believe you can cross-reference the skill in your menu to check what the requirements are for regaining SP. Mai, for example, regenerates SP when she throws the spear, gaining more if the spear kills an enemy.

Hakumen is the easiest to play in my opinion, slow, hard hitter with a counter, just learn the opponents move sets, he's easily the most busted in my opinion

I remember this game, man did I not vibe with it. Locations felt bland. The combat felt clunky especially as enemies just become bullet sponges, and the story had nothing to do with Blazblue.
