Greetings. This or anything in life doesn’t work one way. What I accept for me is what I need to accept for the other person too. That’s how you maintain balance. If you are suggesting that it has to work both ways - I absolutely agree, but making a statement rather a judgement about someone you don’t know at all - well that’s just unacceptable. Our preconceptions prevent us from knowing someone truly - and that just makes you miss out on a whole new experience:)

I suppose I never could understand the idea of self-worth, or other concepts like it in this Modern/Postmodern world we live in. I remember the first time Eman truly entered my heart and the experience was very transcendent to say the least. That was the first time I felt special, thankful that Allah (swt) picked me out of millions, to bless with Islam and Guidance. I believe wholeheartedly that our self-worth is determined by how Allah perceives us, not how we want to perceive ourselves, or imagine ourselves to be.. My whole life I was concerned with the idea's or perceptions others had of me, to the point it became crippling. After Allah guided me to Islam, it slowly went away. My dear Sister, I am in no way speaking down to you or speaking as someone who is cut of a better cloth. If I am wrong, then I ask Allah to forgive me for my ignorance. I only want that you are happy with who you are as a Mulimah, and that Allah will take care of you and make you feel his blessings and to feel blessed by his mercy. Empowerment schemes are the wellsprings of demons... Your Empowerment is with your connection to Allah... May Allah bless you my dear sister in all of your affairs... Ameen
