@@Ninja_Toolz stock internals will be destroyed because they aren't built to handle alot of power so replace them with stronger parts unless you really hate your car
@@xxxod That doesn't really work. If you put a 2080ti in a shitty pc, it won't destroy the pc, it will just be held back. If you put a turbo on a stock engine, it will blow it.
Just some feedback (it’s possible I have no idea what I’m talking about and I’m 100% wrong) I thought the only helpful part of this video was the last couple of seconds when you said to “follow the instructions.” I thought this video was going to be less “history” and more “I want to boost my car help me, what do I do.” Just a thought
My dream car Evo 5 SR. Thankfully in EU they were mostly bought in SR making the GSR rarer and actually more expensive, so maybe I can afford one as my first car :)))
These guys and Raiti’s Rides are my favorite car channels. These “So you want a...” episodes bring me back to the senior parking lot back in 2001!😆😂🤯🤦🏼♂️🤣😅
Im from wisconsin originally and moved away to the south when i was 12. I miss my old accent and everybody that had it. whenever i visit i LOVE to hear it.
Just bought an upgraded turbo on the same plan. I’m halfway through two weeks of Ramen and I could kill for a steak. On the flip-side, got that shipping notice yesterday morning!
Holy hell ! Alex... You mentioned a srt4 and now. You have my respect. These little cars kick so much ass and you displayed some nice ones to. I thought you guys would have thought these cars are too crappy to be in your vid. Respect. And you called it its street name skittle.! Awesomeness
Midwestern accents aren't threatening, or sound like they are trying to scam you. They are friendly and sound like home (as someone who grew up in the midwest). It may not be as fancy as British or as wild as Australian or as charming as the south, but it is familiar.
Turbo cars are so much fun. My first real sports car was a 1987 Supra turbo. And even though it was not all that fast the turbo made it a lot of fun to drive.
I was expecting this to be like the engine swap episode, and Alex telling us we need to swap our cast parts for forged and sleeve our blocks. I feel for anyone that tries to boost a car and call it a day without doing that.
The Chevy Corvair from 62' was the first mass produced turbocharged vehicle. Meanwhile the first ever vehicle with a turbo was the 1929 Mercedes-Benz 500 SKS Sportler Typ #3 (prototype of the supercharged 30's SKS)
Forced induction is the future so much in fact Honda decided to put a turbo not only in their Si trim but in pretty much every single one of their trims...all the while Toyota has been selling FRS/BRZ’s for years and they have yet to catch on xD All seriousness though I raced against a 9th gen full bolt on screaming Vtec N/A engine in my once then 100% stock 10th gen Si and although we were neck and neck once I shifted out of 3rd I took him to gapplebee’s. I also took a full bolt on FRS to gapplebee’s with my stock Si. Now I’m not saying the Si is the end all be all of cars cuz it’s not (I just really love it) but that turbo helps a LOT! Yes I’m aware of run on sentences. I’m just really lazy on the internet Now that you mentioned it...it makes sense why people with brz/frs don’t install turbos haha they always get wheels tires and suspension first! Like 100% dead on every single person that drives those cars does that first lol
I have a turbo addiction.... first car: ‘94 Eclipse GSX. Next car, new 04 SRT-4 w/500whp, then, Civic Si w/turbo kit. Then, 04 350z w/GReddy twin turbo kit which I still have.... along with a Ford Fusion 2.0T engine...
I dont have a Midwestern accent, but I think its funny you will poke fun at it, while making a video "talking A BOAT a boosted car". It's pronounced similarly to "ouch that canadian accent is painful"
Don't go for stupid power numbers. 100-130 hp per litter is the golden number for reliability. Be aware of cooling, especially oil cooling. Also intake air cooling. It's 2019 already, get a nice tuneble ECU, like FuelTech engine management systems. Also, PCV, you will get lots of blow by, especially in older engines. The gas vapors will turn your oil into thin water like stuff. Only use synthetics. Also, your stock transmission probably won't handle pulls in first or second gear. Try boost by gear. It's essentially that. Bonus tip, Alcohol (or ethanol) is awesome and Fueltech have After Market solutions for flex fuel systems. It's pretty awesome
First time I installed a turbo on non turbo buggy, it totally did no fail. It was a total win. And I said f u to the race fuel I was supposed to run cause no intercooler, and I fabbed up an intercooler system. Still wish I hadnt sold it
Could you do the wheel history on the brand Drag. I had some Drag 69's on my 09 Impreza and it made a world of difference compared to stock rims and the price was less than 100 per rim.
