I can confirm with George that this Tesla screen was my best upgrade. I had it running for almost three months with no problem. Car play works great. I use my car daily. (Pros). Functions with all the OEMs, including the backup camera with my sonar sensors. (Cons). Audio downgraded if you don't have an amp since my car comes with BOSE and 2 12” subwoofers, and notice the sound is no longer the same. Now I have to put an amp to allow the true power the system needs. Also, while using the touch screen, it has a .2-second delay and can get annoying, but once you get used to that, no problem. All said the $1,300 I paid was worth every penny because just adding this to your car makes it feel like you're driving a newer, upgraded technology for today over expensive vehicles. If not for this channel, I would have never trusted Niffty City to pay this amount, not knowing what I would get. Thanks, brother, for your content videos! Keep up the great work!
They added a filter to remove the feedback hissing noise but it completely nerfs the overall sound. I took that filter back off and the hiss is there but i don't mind it compared to having my full sound (its actually too loud now, most of my EQ curve is negative, lol). Honestly when I'm listening to music i don't hear the hiss. Something to consider.
@@Cardimuswhat piece are you referring to? Ordered mine almost 2 weeks ago and should arrive soon. Is it something you can choose not to plug in? I've got a 5 channel amp, sub and speakers that will be plugging into this screen. Will the amp amplify the hissing sound?
I remember first getting my G and it didnt have any navigation or anything and i really wanted apple carplay. I done some research and came across Your video and upgraded to the touch screen option of apple carplay from nifty city and it works flawlessly. I still have to get the back up camera upgrade. Maybe I’ll eventually upgrade to the Tesla screen in the future.
Yea same I remember the price was $700 to when i first started seeing them. Now, sheesh! $1300 out the door. The bezel amd over fit and finish does look nicer tho
My only issue is that i cant get the ecuconnect app from Ecutek to link up through the screen and i use the app to display my boost gauge. Otherwise the screen is great.
So recently bought this same screen for the G everything works fine except that on the screen the ac won’t turn on and I know that the AC box has the right cables I tried the code 1630 on the settings but it didn’t work so any help would be great
So from what I heard from other people is that they sent you the screen with cables for another country so you should have a spare cables to plug in. And with those your AC will work 👍🏼
Does it have high pass and low pass filters or crossover? Does it integrate with the Bose system or does it use built in amp ? How’s the sound quality?
Is this unit fully symmetrical? I’m buying the RHD version of the G37, the Skyline V36. It’s too hard to tell from just online images if the left and right (and mounting brackets) are symmetrical
typically that's with any aftermarket screen when i installed a different screen audio went down a noticeable amount in the lower volume but if once it's up not a huge difference barely noticable
I am not able to connect to my phone's hotspot. Is there a setting that needs to be enabled to allow this? Nifty City is telling me that you need a sim card but this video shows you can connect to wifi using hotspot.
I just did my oil change. I will be programming/updating filter and oil settings through cluster and OEM screen today. Does this allow me to update my OEM settings still, to display on-screen, when it’s time to change my oil? Are there OEM Infiniti settings built in?
Makes me think something is not installed correctly on my first video of the Tesla screen I suggested people to mark the AC connections because they are super similar to the stereo connections and people do get confused. Crazy thing is AC connector does plug in on to your stereo, what that causes is similar to what you are describing car won’t turn off, stereo won’t turn off, lights on dash will blink, might blow fuses. I would double check my connections
Hey man I just put one in my 370z. I am getting extremely low volume coming out of the speakers even with the unit on max volume. Also the ambient lights on the climate controls are not working. I’ve messed with it in settings and still nothing. I’ve checked all connectors and everything seems to be right. Any ideas? Thanks
I’m not sure if the 370z has the same AC white box as the G37 but a lot of people get confused with those connectors that’s why I highly recommend you label your stereo connections and AC if you notice on my video I didn’t unplugged my AC connectors because you can get confused and plug something wrong.
@@GeorgeNava37 I appreciate the reply I ended up removing the audio box in between the main harness and and factory head unit connector and that solved the low sound at the speakers. Only issue now is not having ambient lighting/illuminating at the climate control/volume knobs. The lights on ac/defroster/circulating/auto buttons work when pressed bout the illumination on the dials does not work
