I was at the Johnny Knox game. It was a career ender, but he was able to cary on a normal life and walk, which is crazy considering he was folded in half.

2:50 fun fact, the guy a couple days after that game the guy got his finger amputated so he could play the next week

For anyone who's confused at some parts, like I was: - Rashad Johnson is #26 in red. Somehow lost his fingertip trying to stop the other player, I believe. - NaVorro Bowman is #53 in white, the guy holding the football. You can see his lower leg buckle in the close-up, as his leg got caught up in the pile-up, and his achilles tendon tore. - Derek Carr is the one being passed the ball. Dislocated his right pinky finger trying to catch it.

Ok, Hockey injuries I can handle. The guys leg/ankle bent, losing the top of the finger and being bent backwards, no, just nope! But I"m going to finish watching! omg!

Good job getting through it but as i guy who played hockey, soccer, and football for years, i actually have seen broken legs and jaws and arms in real life so videos arnt as bad because you cant hear the brake and the scream but keep it up!

I can't watch anymore of this...lol. I saw the Theisman injury live on TV. Gruesome. Leg snapped. Lawrence Taylor's eyes were so wide, he was terrified, and that is a tough tough dude. He said the break sounded like a gunshot.

One of the ones that you missed, the one with the tackler on the Giants taking down the quarterback of the Redskins (now called the football team) and then waving over the medical staff, was a guy named Lawrence Taylor. He was was one of the most vicious NFL linebackers ever.

People new to the NFL or American college football think that most of the serious injuries come from the hard hits and slams that they've seen on videos like "NFL Greatest Hits", but as you can see season- and career-ending injuries usually happen in an ordinary play that doesn't seem particularly violent...you only know that something's wrong when somebody doesn't get up or takes himself out of the game.

The play with Ronnie Lott, he severely dislocated his pinkie finger and instead of going to the injury reserve for 3 weeks, he had the doctor amputate the digit.
