Thanks, Tesal! Always glad to hear you're enjoying the videos. It's been a weird year for social occasions, but happy to be on the upward trend of things now ✌️
Hi Joe. Loving this jpeg only series of videos, it really brings back the fun aspect of taking photos without the faff and stress of editing afterwards. And the Fuji cameras are simply amazing at in camera jpegs. A quick question, is there any chance of you doing one of these where you use your X100F? And if you do, maybe produce some bespoke recipes for it? Cheers man!
Thanks! I’m having so much fun with it; and you’re right, it’s really bringing the excitement back to photography. I’m thinking if converting my X100F to a JPG only camera, so will see what recipes I make for it…
Fuji has reallly allowed me to do social photography. Before, every time, I would shoot, try to edit the raws and by the time am done with it (usually weeks or months after), can't be bothered to upload and share it with my family or friends, if I get to edit it at all. Now, even with hundreds of photos, during the event, I upload it on the phone with the app (it can be very long - fuji's app is crap - but it's okay cuz it forces me to put the camera down for a bit) then I check them quickly and share them with everybody through messenger or whatsapp. That way, they got the pics even before the end of the event !
This is exactly the experience I have had with capturing photos of social occasions as well. We're definitely not alone with it, ha! Glad the JPEG solution is working well for you too!
Shout out from a fuji user in Taiwan! Just bumped into this channel and absolutely love the casual vibe of your videos, and Boy I was amazed by the whole x-raw setup thing which I've never known for the whole time! Thanks for that
Hey hey, welcome! I’m a big fan of Taiwan and made some of my favourite vlogs ever when we spent a few days there in 2019. Would love to return someday soon! Here’s the first video, in case you’ve not seen them yet: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ttraTnODzNk.html
Transferring images: I experience that if you select the images on the camera to send over, it is faster than selecting the images from the phone screen first and then import the selection. The app is not the greatest, but you can setup the camera to send over every image automatically to the phone if the slow process of selecting really bugs you.
Uplifling, joyous video that perfectly illustrates the “social side” theme w/cheerful good friend - complete w/“disposable blinds”.👍 Custom film sims spot on for “stone” buildings. Fuji app can be fussy, but a follow-up vid showing camera control using app would be most welcome. Cheers!
you're not wrong, the app is grossly under-developed and feels very much like it was rushed to market and then just neglected. it shouldn't be so difficult to have a polished app that connects reliably and transfers images quickly. at least fuji isn't alone in this regard; the apps from other camera vendors are just as clunky.
Yeah, they're all crap aren't they?! It's so weird how it still seems like such an after-thought and then attempts are made to "fix" the problem, by releasing yet another app, rather than re-making the existing ones.
I love your work 👏🏼🤩 and the results are gorgeous. I‘m currently in love with the filmsimulation LomoChrome Metropolis. Maybe a suggestion for a new video.
just subscribed Joe liked the video good fun with your friends along with you nice, I still shoot raw and jpg myself only just getting into the Fujifilm world but really enjoying it.......
Perfect timing for a new video talking about film simulation recipes. I've been playing around with my new X100V (your videos definitely pushed that purchase sooner) and wanted to find some new ones. Excited to play with those 2 you posted on the video!
Enjoy! They're both very similar recipes, but hopefully in certain scenarios you'll see how the differences play out for different results. Particularly in the way shadows are captured.
How is it going with the delta variant of the coronavirus in London because I heard in the news that it spreads all over the UK. I hope you, Elly and your families won‘t get the new delta variant.
