Oooh my God Jasmine, I’m in my 1st year Masters in Social work and I’m so stressed and worried, but finding this video is giving me so much joy and confidence in myself.
Thank you thank you thank you, I'm a first year SW student in the US and have to model motivational interviewing with a classmate for an assignment in class and this video helped me so much.
Hi Jasmine. I graduated as a Mental Health Social Worker 3 years ago. I stayed on at my final placement as paid employment to gain more confidence and experience and have done workshops such as M.I., Working with Challenging Behaviour etc. I'm applying for CMHT/NHS jobs at the moment, your video has been a really useful refresher that I'll be sure to mention as a skill in my future interviews and subsequent practice. Thanks and stay safe ✌
I have been a viewer of your channel for over a year now and I didn't know you are a social worker. Your video link is in a course I am taking with a section on motivational interviewing.
Thank you! I have to conduct an interview with a classmate for an uni assignment. I been struggling with it till I saw your video. I often struggle to come up questions which leads to awkward silence. Do you have any tips on coming up with questions quickly? Thank you
Kimchuu • hi Kimchuu, those silences are okay and necessary sometimes its more about learning to get comfortable with it than coming up with questions quickly xx
I'm supposed to be doing an assessment soon I've not been given much guidance I'm on placement, how do you initially approach a service user, have an informal chat first or ? What do you recommend
