Will was the worst; he couldn’t perform in challenges, he could barely do much in camp. And when Shirin was crying and, even if she took his comments the wrong way, he just kept attacking her. It was almost like he thought she was so beneath him and not worth his time. In season 30, Will is the wicked stepmother that never wins.
30 is the worst cast ever. Will, Dan, and Rodney were all genuinely terrible people (Rodney has since reformed, but he still sucked on the show), and the rest of them, save for Jenn, Joe, and Hali, were just not likable people.

Will said that he wasn’t verbally attacking Shirin but then when she listed the things he said, he said that’s true so I’m like, how does he not see what he’s doing. It just makes me so mad

@@Daftboy89 You will never understand what it feels like to be abused. I'm not sure if a person can learn empathy, but I have hope that you are not too far gone. Making a joke out of someone's traumatic experiences is what evil malicious people do, so I hope you grow out of that.

Will represents a lot of toxic people on social media and real life who say things without thinking about it them and continue to push the envelope for no reason

Putting your hand in someone's face is rude no matter what, but I think it's particularly egregious when you do it to a deaf person who is relying on being able to see your face in order to communicate with you. You know if the shoe were on the other foot Joanna would never have taken someone putting a hand to her face, and I think that's what gets under my skin the most about it.
"The past will eat you alive but the future will save you" is a quote that I think about a lot actually. Despite how people feel about Ben's gameplay and win, Ben is genuinely a good person with a big heart.
he played terribly on HvHvH but on WaW he played quite well. That 4 person alliance of Tony, Sarah, Sophie and Ben were basically the dominant figures in that season.
Kind of amazing to see how much adversity Christy had to deal with. Some of the women on her tribe were harsher than any of the elements of the Amazon. There is NO WAY Joanna would've talked to Dena like that (who was actually gunning for her) or put her hand in her face
That's why I was glad for her when the swap happened, because the older men were more willing to put in the effort to make sure Christy was included in their conversations
I was honestly shocked when she voted for Jenna to win the season given how that group of girls treated her, since she was very much included in that clique.
@@bigtimetimmyjim6486 Because the other person was Matt and she also didn't like Matt for being creepy (plus she understood that Jenna outplayed her and she showed a very mature behavior for a juror at that time.)
I have not watched Ben's season and I understand that many people do not like him as a winner, but watching his confessional and expereince on PTSD was very empowering for me. I am in my master's to become a psychologist who works with first responders and military and I have to say, it's incredibly rare to see such awareness and positivity towards this condition. For many people with PTSD, they practically see their life as over or varnished and damaged beyond repair, so they lose hope. It is very common to hide these symptoms until they cannot be hidden any longer and spill over. Ben's confessional was amazing. It was full of authenticity and honesty regarding the challenges that come with the disorder, but a message of hope and mental health positivity that many people, not just with PTSD, but with mental health struggles in general, need to challenge their perspective. A big part of mental wellness is acceptance. The ability to acknowledge that this will be hard for me, this will take it's toll, but there is such a long road ahead of me and I can and will find happiness.
How can you not be a victim when you get personally attacked liked that… and then have nobody even try to do anything to stop it? The whole “shirin played the victim role so that makes what will did less horrible” is total bullshit.
That scene with Big Tom and Brandon was a thing of beauty. I know Tom had his flaws, and so did Brandon actually, but that was just a rare moment of perfection on Survivor. I also wish Brandon played again because he was so damn charismatic and an under-rated player who got too complacent but I could've seen really evolving a second time around a la Parvati.
I have never understood the survivor community's hatred for Brandon. Sure, at the time I can get it since he betrayed his alliance/tribe in an era where that was completely unthinkable, but he clearly had to deal with so much shit from Frank that the producers tried so hard to edit around that I don't know how anyone nowadays can blame him for doing what he did. And the fact that he actually went through with it, in addition to his colorful confessionals, made him one of the most enjoyable characters on that whole season. If he had played in the 20s I'm sure we would have seen him return.
I found Shirin really grating most of the time, but the way she was treated in World's Apart was so messed up. Will took it way too far, he's a terrible human being.
Also the fact that no one says anything, no one stands up for Shirin, it says a lot about the kind of people they are too. Every one of them is a shitty person by enabling Will's abuse. I think the only person who stood up for her was Mike.
@@burntfrootloop4073I honestly don’t know if I would have been able to restrain myself from becoming violent with him if I had been there. It was some of the most despicable behaviour I’ve ever seen someone engage in. And ironically, he proved that Shirin was 100% right to question his integrity, because he clearly has none.
Lucas, we used to get killed not even 40 years ago. If this is surprisingly "rough" to you then you really need to do your research and educate yourself on your LGBTQ history.
Queen Katara Yeah other than some things he said to Chrissy (though Chrissy also said some things too so it was mutual) Ben as a person he’s ok but as a winner when Devon or Chrissy were also players many people rooted for and the way Ben won was tough for some people to accept and I don’t blame any of those perceptions, and I do appreciate him in this confessional.
I liked Ben as a person but I was disappointed with how he won. I wouldn't have minded it had production told us and or them ahead of time instead of making it an "advantage" for the winner, which it obviously was not
I find Survivor Panama very overrated just because of how boring and stale La Mina is compared to Casaya. But I absolutely love the Austin and Sally conversation, she’s such an angel. She was a better underdog than Terry. Amazon was such a negative and mean spirited season and I loved it. Joanna was very entertaining, but it was very disrespectful to put her hand in front of a deaf girl’s face. But we all know Christy was unbearable to live with lmao.
@Paloma Yi Dietz was ostracized by the majority and they made it clear he was gone when he didn't win immunity. I'm not saying he couldn't have done better socially, but he knew the score and knew he would win if he got to the end so sucking up to the majority would've been pointless.
@@encycl07pedia- Dietz lost me when he was a complete sourpuss after getting beautifully played by Cirie, I loved how she didn't take that crap and yelled back at him. he is the classic Captain America case - awesome at challenges, great eyecandy, but also pretty arrogant and sometimes horrible socially. he also made some pretty bad comments on Second Chances towards Abi's English (not that Abi is a saint, but that was very uncalled for)

Dude I was gonna comment what season this scene is from cause it definitely looks like one of the older season (pre Gabon) but I don't remember this scene at all (despite watching watching the seasons in order and am now at s35). I guess that explains it cause Panama really did focus on the craziness that was Casaya lol (Edit: woops, wrong tribe name 😅)
I hate that with the Shurin / will insident not one person says anything. This happens a lot in survivor… men do something against women but the tribe doesn’t care because it will be bad for their game. Dan, Rodney, Jean Robert. If survivor is a microcosm for the real world I can think of some big things metaphors here
What's crazy is that if Will hadn't lost it on Shriin or even just apologized for losing his temper, he may have won in the end. Apparently he was really well liked by people, but his whole feud with Shriin and doubling down on what he said lost him a lot of respect. Even in the end Dan was going to vote for him until his apology. Tyler went in planning to vote for him as well, but Will just had a terrible FTC performance. So his behavior may have cost him 1 million dollars.
HHH, similarly to Edge of Extinction was a very underrated season for like two thirds of the game, but really jumped the shark in the last part which was overflooded with idols/advantages (EoE was even worse at that)
Stuff And Things The last 3 episodes hurt the season a lot with Ben ‘finding’ 3 idols in a row and winning because of the bs fire making twist. But otherwise the cast was pretty great. I just wish Jessica made it further, she was so likable and surprisingly complex.
@@charliez077 eh I semi agree. HHH had a decent pre merge, a pretty bad merge and a really terrible endgame that ruins the whole season, and I genuinely didn't really enjoy EoE the entire time but the endgame is what really makes me hate that season

Will Sims is a horrible person and I am glad that he got the backlash that he got after the season and I think it is repulsive that he tries to defend his actions and he claimed that he apologized when he didn't and the only reason he wanted to try to make it right with her is because of all the backlash he got when it aired
That Worlds apart alliance is up there for worst main alliances of all time with that crew.. Will, Rodney, and Dan!!! The others are meh, but having those 3 on your screen constantly was awful

coming from an lgbtq+ person: yes. outing someone is NEVER ok and a lot of these arent all that old but with boston robs for example, it was 20 years ago and everyone was homophobic 20 years ago. and that doesn't make it ok, but i don't think we should judge people based on the past if theyve grown in the present yanno

@@anthonymort5202 didn’t do anything wrong 😂 Mf shirin was attacking him questioning his character and knowing Will yeah he flipped out, was od? yes, but that’s what happens when you start something, shirin started something and couldn’t handle the heat coming back, she should’ve said nothing about the food he got from the auction
