Not sure if you mentioned it in the video but I should point out a small note for engineers: in SoD, we can learn both gnome and goblin engineering recipes without re-leveling engineering. There are some guides out there to see how we can acquire the recipes from the other "faction" of engineering. Basically, we just do a quest to get the opposite faction recipes. This saves us a lot of money and/or time of course. Cheers!
I will say the guide is pretty spot on with the exception of the BIS PVP gear. Missed +100 hp arcanums on helm, and legs. +15 agility on offhand, +9stamina bracers, band of the wilds is better than blackstone same stats except wilds grants poison hit application, no +7 scope on gun, filchers cowl for PVP is a must over any stamina cloak, the 6 piece from pvp set is useless you get the same stamina and more attack power by a lot with lycan helm and epic shoulders. PVP helm + shoulders with 6pc set bonus is 54 ap and 28 stamina and 2 crit. Lycan helm + paranoia shoulders is 28 stamina 1.07 crit (down .97 crit but up in ranged attack power +97, +2.14% dodge) and a total of +66 attack power. With full bis you would already be at 50% crit with improved backstab which is every other hit RNG is a crit. At that point there's diminishing returns if you lack attack power to actually crit hard. 5% hit cap is all you need for PVP as melee unless the target has +defense ratings. +4 stats chest isnt in the game yet so you'd be using +3 stats chest (at this point for PVP id argue +100 hp is better). Also the hyperconductive belt is -1 stamina from BRD Girdle of Bestial Fury which yields +38 attack power. The weapon chain is good for warrior and hunter matchups and ive yet to see a single riposte rogue but that would be good for a weapon swap, if you dont have crusader on MH or +15 agi if you were able to obtain 2 righteous orbs before they were removed like myself. I understand this game out 2 weeks ago or more so this may of been before you were aware of these things or am I missing some reasoning on this gear setup? Also I am aware that the engi belt offers a chance at move speed or crit so could argue when CD is up this is better but again that goes back to already being at 50% crit 24/7. Stacking crit to 99% would be useless if you lacked 300 attack power with how breakpoints and diminishing returns function.
thoughts on his usage of carnage? I find myself rarely using besides for tanks on EFC in bgs. Also, CP feels a lot more potent with the energy gain, or should i still be giving honor among thieves a better try?
Didn't hear it in the engi section: SOD has a questline so you can be both specializations - just a weekly lockout to learn opposite side. God like video as always.
Don't take this as fact, I'm mostly guessing but...I think with serrated blades the idea is to incorporate Rupture in to the rotation early to dump CP, especially with honor among thieves procs...but he talks about control the whole video and that doesn't quite mesh with imp gouge etc
Hey prep was just curious why you dont use 3/3 pvp set and 2/3 pve set for the extra stam. Also by now use the 12stam 36 ap belt?[Temple Looter's Waistband]
setbonuses gonna be breakin all the time with helms/boots/belt swaps etc, and you wanna have multiple sets to swap to for rune swaps. belt's actually an oversight, ty!
@@perp- makes sense. Also do you think it is worth me using tidal charm? I feel like with my range stun and other stuns its better to use my other trinkets.
Why no heightened senses? Also do you not think maxing out malice would be a good idea now that Honor Among Thieves is working properly? I'd really appreciate your answer on these I'm struggling to find my perfect spec this phase
1. heightened senses is fine but mages will pick with displacement in bgs so u care less for hunting druids 2. maxing out malice for hat is pointless cos its 1% vs the value of other talents when ur crit is already insanely high and other ppl will be proccing it for u 3. camo for connecting on targets, vanish/sapping cleaner, stealth jumps in bgs 4. imp ambush in bgs is pointless because everythings tanky so u never wanna ambush anyway, ur not an assassin in the bgs ur a cc bot/setup class
@@perp-"ur not an assassin in the bgs ur a cc bot/setup class" I wish more players would think this way. I can get 0 kills in a BG as a Rogue and still be an integral part of my team.
@@perp- thanks so much for the quick response. I guess you're probably right about everything. I still might take imp ambush just cuz i like it, but I will definitely be taking 5/5 camo and serrated blades. Really appreciate your vids man keep it up. Would love a 1v1 guide vs all classes vid eventually
Hi, one question. Why you spend 2 talent points in Imp. SS instead of taking 2% dodge? I thought we are not using SS since we have Mutilate, and mutilate is not scaling with SS talents.
Nice perp. I would LOVE to hear you talk about "poison based build" vs. "raw-dmg-not-relying-on-poison-dmg" in PvP. I sometime find my QA + BtE combination much weaker then DB+Env in terms of "finishers". Eviscerate feels much weaker than Env. Also, how much hit is enough in pvp? I see so many diff info on google. I have 7% atm and it feels ok, idk. Thanks!
5% hit from gear so u hitcap blind and BTE/QD, the hit in combat tree doesn't count for ranged attacks or spells. poison based builds will always be more damage but u absolutely cuck urself in terms of safety nets since u will not be able to properly control targets whatsoever. DB procs on saps so forget sapping offtargets, cant gouge bandage, etc. it doesn't allow u to cover all the rng and all the wild amounts of burst other people can do to u. in situations where ur not gonna die and uve exhausted ur opponents defensives, ur fine to runeswap (with itemrack) mid combat to DB/enven to burst but for the most part its not needed. hope that helps
I’ve been finding DB & envenom pretty fun in p3. If I get the opener i can destroy most classes just under CS and kidney. Combat potency so a lot more damage faster.
Assassination is far easier to play than Sub, but has a lower skill ceiling, particularly in SoD. Yes, you can play Assassination in PvP, and yes you take both deadly brew and envenom when doing so.
If possible, could you list some of your favorite iMorph macros you have? I love the color schemes with different sets and tabards that you play with in your streams.
id like to have offhand swap to mind numbing vs mages (with Waylay boot swap).... is it that big of a deal to do Crippling off-hand and wound main hand?
Why carnage? It doesn’t appear part of your rotation. I try to bleed my targets to incorporate it, but I’m not using it enough to justify the selection idk what to do
How much hit do you need in PvP since ur set gives 7% and the spec i'm runing gives 5% 12% seems high for pvp thought soft cap was 5%? Idk what is is for White hits but is Hit even that valuable after 5%? Would for example WSG ring and Masons Fraternity Ring not be better? Would also make Defiler's Leather Girdle maybe a better belt option too.
I believe it’s because quick draw rune benefits from SS talent points. So instead of quick draw costing 30 energy it’s 25. Don’t know the exact numbers off the top of my head though
I'm seeing a lot of rogues in BG and World PVP either running deadly brew, or instant deadly. Is it better atm or are they just being lazy with poisons?
Your rotation in now way makes use of the carnage rune. In the comments you say carnage is safer, could you please elaborate ? How are you incorporating rupture to make use of carnage ?
Hey perp, what are your thoughts on a Remorseless Strikes+Prep build? For example 11/8/22? Also, is 5/5 Master of Deception really needed now with the increased stealth level from both cloak+feet? And Camouflage I don't think 5/5 is necessary either cause theres no reason to have the stealth CD be shorter than the time it takes to drop combat in PvP? Great video :)
I use a similar build to the bg one you showed. But instead of serrated blades and lower cd on evasion/ sprint, I put 1 extra on hit and 3 on off hand dmg. I believe this would output more dmg than just serrated blades and I don't mind not having evasion and sprint up as often
My biggest fear is finding this guy in the open world and having me and the gear I put together because I think looks neat getting erased so hard my game uninstalls itself.
Bro, rogue looks extremely fun. But after I saw that one clip with the shaman “one shotting” u I’m like.. are shamans even better than rogues for open world PvP? Cus that shit looked unstoppable 😅
