SODA CAKE 

I did this today! Mine was a red velvet cake and I put gingeral in it, and it turned out really good and super moist! :)

I tried this with white cake and huckleberry soda-DELICIOUS! I was very surprised and the fam had no idea!

I had a weird dream where I had to make a cake with pop, and I had no idea it actually existed until just now!

I tried the Chocolate cake with Root Beer. I made one slight change....I used Dad's Rootbeer because it was cheaper. After having watched your tutorial and I saw high high the cupcakes rose I filled the cups about 2/3 or less full. It was perfect....no overages. Now for the flavor....it's not grand....a little weird, though you can taste a hint of Rootbeer. They are incredibly moist and fluffy. I think I need to frost these as it would be easier to give them away. I plan on trying one more....the Spice cake with Gingerale. I'll let you know how this has turned out when I make it in a few short weeks. Thanks for posting!

I think if you had used another flavor soda would have been better. Just the thought of strawberries and rootbeer flavors together didnt sound too good. Bless

I have a friend his favorite kind of cake is red velvet and he likes wine sometimes so I've been wandering do you think I'd be able to use wine instead of soda as long as I use the same amount that comes in cans of soda

It would be great for someone who was allergic to eggs. I liked the color of the cake.

Tried it it’s delicious cola and chocolate cake mix and cup sugar 1/4 cup coco 1/2 milk boil in sauce pan until rolling boil for say 5minutes. Add tsp vanilla 1/4 stick butter Pour over hot cake. Yum yum

Next time use a ice cream scoop to transfer batter to pans

Thanks for telling the truth Not, a great taste, and the baked items, was just to gummy to be enjoyed. Not to mention, smelled strange too.

We ever use “soda” made with GMO corn syrup. We use Mexican soda made with cane sugar.

Why not strawberry with creamsoda and only use 3/4 of the can or less . It looked too watery.

Just a heads up if you’re done the pop and then I will sit for a second or two then dump the cake batter it works easier

I have made my cake with using 7up I also used it for my cobblers comes out great!

these are awesome I love chocolate and dr.pepper and white cake and orange soda is awesome with a sugar glaze and white cake and fruit punch soda is the bomb really need to try that one or even use a yellow cake yummy

I am an experienced baker, so I was obviously skeptical...followed directions and it went flat. I used Pepsi with chocolate cake.

I don’t see how you could use Diet Coke. The aspartame is not heat stable and I would think the methanol in aspartame would get converted to formaldehyde before even entering your body. It already does in your body so I would think it would in an oven too. I try to kinda stay away from aspartame personally but if you try this with Diet Coke I doubt it would taste right at all. Not that any of these seem like great combinations for food to begin with.

it would have mixed better if you mixed some and then added more once you for it mixed all the way

STILL ADD YOUR THREE EGGS, OILS AND HALF CAN OF SODA OF YOUR CHOICE AND VERY LITTLE WATER. IT WON'T TASTE GOOD WITHOUT THE EGGS AND OIL.
