In this video I Go into more depth! I normally do that is the reason for the Lengthy video but a show you how to make sleeves out of soda tab chainmail and connect them to your tunic with shoulder pad/pouldrons.
Thank you cuz of this video i won two costume contests from halloween cuz my costume was the warden from for honor. I found that if you hot glue the seems of each soda tab it gets pretty sturdy you can try to tear it and it stays. This was really useful
Hey there. Just wanted to say that I love the channel and your work, and find it really inspiring. In fact, I've been working on making a chainmail hauberk, where the rings are made from cardboard
Sorry about the late response but to answer your question have you ever heard of a Gambeson? It is a leather padded armor worn by even Vikings and is resistant to cuts and even arrows
This guy is seriously amazing, I was searching for this! I want to make chainmail for a school project, thanks for the video!! P.s. do you have an estimate of about how many tabs you used?
I'm just starting out to build stuff and I currently have ''no space'' I do but I can't do anything at the moment (I wish to build a mech) where using your vest tactic but adding a top bit where there isnt a helmet if I can get ur discord I can show you.
Oh ok good luck and more importantly have fun doing so! I do have discord but don’t use it often however im willing to give it to u so I can see ur build.
You definitely can! I just chose this way to skip the making of the rings myself step thats all. Also I was just experimenting with new materials and had dreamed of doing this project for a while. Not to mention both the vest and sleeves I made are still intact and secure, i actually use them in my knight duel videos too! I think it’s been 2 years since I finished the vest
Make sure you build it pretty large so it’s easier to slip into and when you put it on, I would try bending the whole shirt as least as possible So, just hold it straight the whole time and then slowly let it fall down your body when you hold your arm straight up
