Sheffield expects his time on the Kirk Ronan branch to go smoothly, but the trucks have other ideas. Thomas and Friends copyright Hit Entertainment. No profit is being made from this video.
I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was quite a surprise to introduce Brian. For a moment I actually really did think the shed was talking. It was nice to see the trucks in a centre role too as it shows that their role on the railway is no less important than the engines themselves :)
I've noticed that Sheffield is numbered 14 now, also... "He's ready? Already?!" That line just made me laugh! I am really taking a rather big liking to him
6:11 Hmm... if engines can talk, why not sheds? Ha! "I'm a breakvan! Nearly a broken van too, thanks to your trucks." That sounds funny but it's also scary when you consider the NW breakvan... "He's ready, already?" LOLs. Sheesh, if all breakvans were like Toad and Brian, the engines would have a smoother run with the trucks for sure.
Very nice episode Wildnorwester So annoyed I missed out on playing Brian, but listening to the voice casting for him, the person you asked to do it was the better choice. Better be seeing more of Brian soon XD
Troublesome Van: It to be us vans aren't that delivery you see we fish vans still have our breaks yet. Ballast Truck: Careful, he's coming. Troublesome Van: You can catch us, Sheffield.
Ballast Truck: I have. It was on that Arlesburgh Branch, Sheffield was taking us up to the shed, you know, the ones the little engines used to load us. He was being rough and would bump us if he thought we were even thinking of causing trouble. Any conversation was probably silenced roughly he even bump a hole in our brake line. Troublesome Tanker: That's excessive. Ballast Truck: Yes, he had to do it James to fix it, it caused a bit of concern for that Duck too. Troublesome Van: That's not a way to treat us though. We'll have to teach him a lesson. Troublesome Tanker: What do you have in mind?
2:06 Ballast Truck: He's a rough engine, isn't he? Troublesome Van: You can say that again. Troublesome Tanker: He got that right. Troublesome Van: Have you ever before? Troublesome Tanker: No.
@Kieran Johnson I'm not sure, but I think Brian bears a very strong similarity to the LNWR 4-wheel 20ton Goods Brake Van, double ended. Can't be sure though.
Great episode. I like the idea of Sheffield being assigned a brakevan, and that fish van arrangement. Two questions though: 1) wasn't this originally called "Cast away''? 2) Will Sheffield ever have a scene in the intro?
@@tffan-gm9nl that is just WildNorWester canon, it’s never really been confirmed by the RWS. But yes, in STEY and STMY, Sheffield is Sixteen, rebuilt, repainted, and renumbered.
nicely ritten episode well doneI have noiced that shetheal speacks in a fink yorksher acksent since his builder hunselet of leeds was a yorksher base firm I also beilve bryan spescks in a moutheld southern akcsen those two sertenly wark well togeter
Something occurred to me. The engines are all scattered through the railway and have different sheds (as of 2011.) Mainline/Main shunter sheds: Diesel, Patrick, Peter, Henry, James, Gordon, Alice, Bear, Pip and Emma (The HS diesels have a special facility, but they are still in talking range from the others) Ffarqaur sheds: Thomas, Percy, Toby, Lily, Daisy and Mavis (Mavis is down at the quarry sheds) Callen sheds: Duck, Donald, Douglas and Oliver. Wellsworth sheds: Edward, BoCo, Bill and Ben (The China Clay twins down at said sheds) Norramby sheds: Owen, Edwan, Evan Kirk Ronan sheds: Eric Container yards shed: Iris Crovens Gate sheds: Geoff (Presumably) Barrow sheds: Caden (Presumably) Where does Sheffield sleep when he isn't on the Kirk Ronan branch?
That's how it was in the Railway Series, at least in the later volumes. I've just extended it a little. Sheffield sleeps in the shed of whichever line he's assigned to at the time. Unlike the other engines, he doesn't really have a 'home' shed - he's a jack of all trades.
um hello wildnorwester can you make a character named Marie the great western 57xx pannier tank engine like duck for sodor the modern years with her 3 autocoaches please #13
Even though the trucks are troublesome if it hadn't being for them causing the coupling to snap and break away sheffield would never of discovered the break van Brian
Isn't that a feature? When on a list, any train without it's brakes applied will go downhill, that's how the game was programmed, atleast trainz driver, which is the only trainz game i have played
In the RWS only. The Kirk Roan Branchline was built back in the 1856-1862 by the Sodor and Mainland Railway in the RWS. The line was ran by Neil and Roger up until 1910-1912 when the NW bought the railway to join the the current NWR network today. The line after that was ran by a number of engines which would be Neil,Roger,Clive,Mathew,Lily,Adan or Colin up until 1934,when the Arlesburgh branch was closed "The Red Engine" was sent to run on the line. But around 1956-1961 the line was closed and abandoned; since during the war the line had a huge supply of iron and coal that was needed. It was around the 1970s the Vicarstown museum made a deal with sir Topham hatt to restore the line. Now 2 steam engines which were saved from scrap in 1969 (from Br) were being restored by the Vcarstown museum, and they chosse those engines to run the line.1 engine being a J55. Another one being a Austerity engine; not Sheffeild.
***** I know he was based off of No.2 from the RWS story Granpuff and I am going to assume he was shutdown and broken up after the line closed in your series.
I know Smudger won't be because like I said he was based and not an actual RWS character. I was referring to Stanley who I only knew as No.2 and assumed in your series he's been scrapped after the railway closed and the generator was no longer needed.
Ah, my apologies for the misunderstanding. As per the railway series, Stanley was moved from the engine sheds to the mines, to act as a pumping engine. When he broke down, the mine flooded, and that caused the closure of the MSR. So he's still in the mines, somewhere. That's how it'll be in my series, in the present day.
