I picked this up a couple days ago & I am very impressed. It reminds me of the old school flashlights in appearance. I used a small magnet for my flat top 18650's to give it a little more lenght in this light. The low mode is very useful. It won't blind you, yet gives a nice spot to navigate by. It's also smaller than I thought it would be. At 6.6 ounces with battery, it weighs less than a Buck 110. It may be an older light now, but well worth picking up in my opinion.
Hej Todderbert Mmm lovely a new Sofirn flashlight review I've been waiting for that and the Sofirn IF22A I've looked at it before. Absolutely as you say and what I also can say now that I own some Sofirn flashlights is, Sofirn flashlights are very nice well built. Then I want to thank you Todderbert for your flashlight reviews because, you have really helped me and others to get good flashlights. and also nice radios. Todderbert when we talk flashlights Stockholm had a major power outage 18 november over 30,000 were affected. So The power outage has caused extensive disruptions in metro, commuter train and bus traffic. So I thought I have good flashlights that are good you never know when, things like that power failure in Stockholm can happen. And I'm now actually reading Stockholm has a new power outage 23,350 electricity customers are affected. I gonna see your Sofirn IF22A review on my TV later today take and have a nice lördag.
Not much of a radio guy but love your flashlight reviews👍 There are a lot of great values now in the flashlight world, but what I like most about Sofirn is their UI.
Thanks for saying that. I was just comparing these same two for myself and wondered what people thought who'd used both. The UI seems slightly better on the Sofirn as well from what I read/watch.
Hi, I've recently bought the Sofirn Q8 Pro from Amazon. It's amazing for 30 seconds then it automatically dims. I'm returning this to Amazon. I want a torch for caving that can be used at a bright level for at least 5 minuites at a time without automatically dimming. Does the Sofirn 22a allow a decent brightness that can be used constanly? or any other bright LED torch that you're aware off. The Q8 Pro to me seems a bit pointless if it's so bright and gets so hot that it has to dim itself after 30 seconds.
I recently bought one as I found that the design was so beautiful. After I unbox it, I found 2 rubber O-rings and one white plastics tube, I don't know what are those for??? Can you help to explain how to use it. Thanks in advance for your explanation.
The O-Rings are replacements for when the others start to crack, or dry up. The white tube is for an 18650 battery. Giving you the option to run two different battery types.
Looks great... I try and avoid flashlights with a magnetic tail cap. Can't be carried near a wallet nor a pacemaker. I'd be concerned about the magnet and credit cards. Just saying.
