Hi, when working at night, I always brought 2 or 4 flashlight with me but I always edc the wurkkos wk03/sofirn sc18 with me. Pocket friendly, nice spill and throw. I also edc baton 4 on my sling bag.
Thanks for your question. I have multiple EDC's and have at least two of them on me at all times. I need them to perform double-duty in wilderness Search and Rescue, so my use cases are not really all that close to anyone else's. Right now, I carry a PowerTac M5 G3 and a OLight Seeker 4 Mini. The latter has good white/UV and I use it as a tracking light. Because of the magnetic base, I have to carry it low in a thigh pocket to avoid interfering with a lensatic compass. I'd like to replace it some day. The two others are more specialty lights that I can quickly mount to the strap of my SAR headlamp or strap on quickly to a ruck (like the Fenix E03R V2 - great close-proximity light and red beacon). If value means performance at the lowest possible price, then Sofirn is probably a good brand to start. Good luck.
I like your review because you really took it out into the woods and tested it out, I wish you could look into Sofirn SC33 because your review here is really good, and I just want to see your opinion on it since it's a new one I think on their lineup.
At lower illumination levels, yes, but it's not a high CRI light. The close-proximity search and path following examples are probably the best ones to help you decide. Thank you.
