Don't tell hindi speakers are more so hindi should be the national language, if you say so, then I will have to say, dogs are more so let's make dog a national animal other than tiger, it doesn't work that way, because india has so many languages so, we can't have a single national language, if one imposes any language, then india will be divided, for an example, you know why east Pakistan(present day Bangladesh) got separated from west Pakistan? Because west Pakistan imposed urdu on Bangla speaking people, do you want india to face the same consequences? So English has become a common language, let's continue that to communicate with each other and respect every Indian language.

Tulu Culture dates back to Harappan Civilization, my tribe is known to be moved from Current Pakistan City Multan when the Sarasvati river dried up. even the Konkani Community also comes from the same place and settled in Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Kerala areas,And we brought this culture along with us. Our names and Words are still similar to A Near extinct language in Multan.. ❤️

Thank you for the review. The slow pace showing the love story and other things of Shiva is to show his waywardness attitude... drinking, hunting, fighting and womanising etc. This was as explained by the director in his interview. I think this is apt enough.

Womanizing is not the correct word. Shiva doesn't lust just any woman he comes across. He knows Leela from a young age and naturally develops feelings for her when she returns to village after completing her education. The story makes it clear that she is also attracted to him which she realizes as soon as she meets him. There's no sexual harassment or vulgarity since they both reciprocate the same for each other. Yes, the romance looks a little odd because we don't live in rural settings so we don't relate to it. Had there been any misogyny, Leela or the people of village would surely punish Shiva. In fact, Leela is the only one (not even the men) who got education because of her own interest and wants to work as forest officer. Nobody in the village including her father or Shiva has a problem with that. The only difference arises when the Police decide to deal with the land encroachment issue on the very first day of Leela's joining.

Preponed my travel my travel from Africa to home after developing much curiosity. It's really a master piece. It's much enjoyed in big screen because of visuals and BGM. Kudos to the team. I had watched many of support actors in local drama and comedy reels on RU-vid. Great... I can't say much because words may take away the beauty of the movie.

I was a child back in 1989. I belong to Garhwal where we have divine stories in the hills and valleys like kantara. Even as a 6 year old I found "Ram Teri Ganga Maili" revolting. I just cundnt see my reality in that film. 30 years later I understood the ugly agenda of Urduwood

I have seen kanthara twice in kannada; once with my friends and again because my mother wanted to see. Someone asked my whether I got bored upon seeing it again, and I replied that 'One does not get bored by visiting a temple again and again'; one goes there to experience spiritual energy 🙏🙏🙏

Our sanatan culture makes us unique in the world. Roots se na jude log aisi movie soch bhi nahi sakte .Par public ko apni roots se Judi stories dekhni hai na ki aisi stories jo ki yaha ki hai hi nahi jo bollywood aksar dikhata hai jaise Champaign pio wine ,patakhe mat phoro ,so backward euuu aur iss film main Bharatiya festival asli main kaise manate hai woh dikhaya hai. Kantara main Baghwan Shiv aur prakriti ke beech ka santulan metaphorically bhi jod ke dekh sakte hain.
