It was great to see you back on the channel! You're doing good! Most people don't understand how much time it takes to produce a video. Great scenery, by the way! As always, thanks for sharing! Rick From Virginia
Happy to see you return brother. Yes, keep em coming. WE definately appreciate your content and hard work. Thanks for bringing us along on your epic adventures.
Great to see you back, Dylan. I agree that having the right-size gear makes all the difference. I just returned from a week-long solo camp in Boise, and the YETI Roadie 24 cooler that I brought ended up taking too much room in my van, despite my not using it very much at all. I'm definitely going to downgrade to something smaller. Nice vid!
Great video Dylan!!! I was getting worried about ya brother. I’m glad to see you back. You had a really nice camping spot beautiful scenery. The food looked really good. Always enjoy your videos can’t wait for the next one. Take care buddy be safe glad to see you back.
The camping life, in whatever form you choose, is all about the simple things in life. The igloo cooler is a perfect example of that, simple yet functional. The world would be a better place if more people could appreciate the value of nature and simplicity. Enjoyed the video very much!
I agree. I love state parks for the nature. But over the years people want to bring electricity to every site. Wi-Fi. Run generators so loud that you don’t hear the nature sounds. I just love the peace and quiet of the woods.
I stopped by your channel's page the other day to check in on you LOL - I hadn't seen you around the suggested videos section in awhile. Yeah man, keep the videos coming if it works out for you to do so - sharing things online is defintely a labor of love - there's not much in the way of money/sponsorships when the subscriber and view counts aren't crazily huge. But there's always value in sharing - even if it just means that only tens, hundreds or thousands of folks ge tto enjoy it (instead of the millions a lot of people get on RU-vid to try to get). So if it means anything, I enjoy your videos when I can't be out camping IRL. Your videos actually made my mind up about getting a Softopper - and I think about your sharing of the tip to secure a strap to the tailgate everytime I use mine LOL. Here's something I'd like to figure out for my setup: an easy to deploy awning to extend weather/sunlight coverage either off the back or off to a side of the Softopper. I carry an AquaQuest Defender tarp with me in my truck setup, and have two extendable poles with guylines. I'm thinking I'll use carabiners to hook the tarp's tie-out loops to the Softopper's external sewn-in loops along the side (the ones that hold the quick-release clips for rolling up the side flaps). Then drape the tarp across the top of the Softopper, extended out away from the side of the truck bed I clipped to - that way there's not just a gap where rain would run off into. I'll just use the two extenable poles and guylines to hold up the outside end. But I'd love to see what you could come up with for adding some covered area off the Softopper without having to haul some huge canopy tent.
Glad to hear from you Scott! I have been thinking about doing something like that as well and that is an awesome idea you have! I'll definitely show it if I come up with something as well 👍 thanks for stopping by
Hey Dylan, I wanted to let you know that my Softopper came in and hope to instal it in my truck this weekend. I'm in Northern San Antonio Texas and it has been hot here. Not sure when I will go truck camping, but I will continue to watch your videos in the meantime. I truck camped before in a hard shell and can't wait to try out this Softopper. Keep doing your thing and have a wonderful night my friend.
That's awesome news my friend! I hope you can get out there soon to enjoy it! Videos will be coming out soon. I'm changing my setup a bit so I'm figuring some things out. Hope you are having a great weekend.
Awesome as always Dylan. Yes I would love to see more videos like this. I just have to say this camp spot is off the charts, not kidding. I mean it's gorgeous out there, the lake right off the campsite plus you get your own little bit of private beach. Just awesome. KEEP ADVENTURING GOD BLESS YOU 🤗HUGS🤗
I have a very similar setup as you. Silver Tacoma with a softopper and similar sleeping platform. Next weekend will be my first overnight trip. Thanks for the inspiration! Great video as always.
Yay it's Dylan!!! I'm actually typing this on my phone, but watching you on my TV. So glad you are back, we've all missed you! I'm actually taking my lil 4x8 teardrop out tomorrow through Thursday. Been a minute since I've been able to get out. But going to take advantage of my slow time before I get busy with work. Spaghetti looked great, glad you used turkey so you can eat healthy.
Welcome back D! Glad u were able to take some time for u. So important. 👍 I must say that the parts I really enjoy from your vids are the scenery views. Love seeing the trees, water and the sky, etc. Nature is amazing. And I luv how u are still throwing down in the "outdoor" kitchen. LOL! I seem to gain a few pounds just by the visuals. 😃 I can tell u enjoy cooking when necessary. Thanks for another camping trip. Glad to see u back.
Great stuff man! Whereabouts are ya in this video? I hang solo a lot in the Ozarks, love seeing your set up and ways around camp. Keep em coming buddy, good stuff!
Wow, looks like a great time, such a beautiful place you found there! What is it like to camp with a softopper? Does it ever leak? Can bugs get inside?
I love the videos you have inspired me to buy my own soft topper for my 2015 cayon ill be following some of your set up for my truck, quick question how long is the box of your truck? looking forward to more videos
