May Staff Sergeant Robert James Graham rest in peace and his family and loved ones have nothing but the best of memories of him! Thank you for this video🙏
As one who was there yes, we were young. I spent my 19th birthday in CanTho hospital fighting for my life. I obviously won that fight because I’m still here. Great content gentleman!
Tilt is literally my hero. This man's knowledge of almost every sog mission is nuts. I listen to these religiously while I deliver fedex packages. And inwas seriously worried that something happened to him when they took a few weeks off. Thank God the man is still going strong
Met a man today who was an A1-skyraider pilot during the Vietnam war. After all these years he still had love for his mac-v sog men on the ground. Flew with the hobo callsign group. Much respect to all our vets past present and God willing future . Give them hell tilt we look forward to 21
These are the best stories. I read my 1st Sog book in the 80s and thats all we had. I dont even watch cable anymore. These lessons he learned were how to hunt the ultimate predator, a Communist guerilla. Life or death . The part where his team bumped into a 3 man NVA group on a grassy plain...imagine that. Gives me goosebumps thinking about those situations. RIP Mr. GRAHAM. And yes, when the Army invaded Cambodia they moved right through the Fishhook and Parrots Beak areas, I doubt they could have ever been fully controlled. Im glad he got his silver pistol back. Also RIP Indian Terry, a marine Nam combat vet from San Francisco I met and he gave me some NVA souvenirs, died in the 80s of alcoholism. My old man was a vet and I was lucky to grow up around this particular group of men. All my dads friends were also vets and would come over on the weekends. They knew I, a 10 year old kid , had read the books already and knew about the war more than most children. They all have eventually gifted me diferent items.
I literally just listened to this on Apple podcast. Well I guess I’ll be “watching” this one again. RIP Mr. Graham. Keep ‘em coming! These podcasts are gold! Respect to our Canadien patriots!
the old dudes are so badass. I just lost a Vietnam veteran friend, he did three tours and ended up with more medals any human being could earn....bless them all...if anyone served with him, here is his info - quite the stories he used to tell... "After graduating from high school, Sheldon entered military service where he served his country for 10 Years, including from 1966-1969 during the Vietnam War. Sheldon served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Special Forces stationed throughout Vietnam and Thailand. He personally trained and fought alongside Soldiers of the United States, The Republic of Vietnam, The Kingdom of Thailand, and the indigenous Vietnamese Montagnards. During the course of his 30 months in Vietnam, he sustained wounds in combat on no less than three occasions; he distinguished himself among his peers and was twice awarded the Bronze Star Medal, twice awarded the Army Commendation Medal and the Air Medal. Sheldon Royal’s military decorations include: Bronze Star Medal (1OLC) Purple Heart (2OLC) National Defense Service Medal Army Commendation (1OLC) Air Medal Parachutist Badge Combat Infantry Badge Vietnam Service Medal Vietnam Armed Forces Honor Medal Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Thailand Parachutist Badge Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Thailand)"
Sogcast is my n1 podcast to go to and iam not even American and also not in favour of wars but i know some only understand the brute force language so and iam a huge fan of all this real stories that are way much better then any movie specially the ones made at this days,Thank you all that made this possible.Piece ✌
I listened to every second of this podcast, and to me, the most interesting part that we all need to hear more about is the 3 Americans in berets that were on the enemy side.
I chuckled when you mentioned Pete Busceto. He really was a hard charger, a model green beret of his time. Can’t remember if we went through phase 1 or Gobbler Woods ( precursor to Robin Sage) together in Training Group,he was definitely impressive. Built like Aldo Ray from the Green Berets movie. Seems like he went on as a Charter member of Delta, I may be wrong about that.
Such a great guy and a good friend of my Dad who ran with Rt Trowel. Another of my Dad's good friends Bill Deacy was strap hanging with Rt Trowel when his Car-15 was hit with an AK round. Everyone on the team that day received a Bronze star including my Dad. Rip Rob Graham.
Every USMC recruit should watch Jocko and thank the gods that he went to the SEALS and not the Marines. Could you imagine that dude tearing through your barracks at 05:00 every morning?
Well, I have good news and bad news. Absolutely unbelievable podcast, we all love this stuff! Bad news is I just completed my affidavit on an arrest warrant for snuggling that Browning into the county. But because I'm a nice cop, I'll just take it as evidence and we'll forget all about it. Sound good? I wanna see that, pistol. So cool. God bless.
I don't know how thank everyone involved in explaining being the 7 of 7th kids. Born 1964. Why, what went on was what I begged to do. Was I wrong? Wishing I could be older. I sherished these men when they came home. My life didn't see anything but John Wayne. Thank God for these men, giving me my life.
That's good audio. It's purposeful. The sound guy, is rocking. It's more based on different devices. Try speaker phone. It's perfectly Engineered. But, good observation. You may just be an audio engineer or consider it. Ie 1-1 That's smart thinking 🤔 Stay positive. Ask questions always!
Hey only hear stryker on the left side and guest on right side so podcast is not in stereo for some reason in all of sogcast all of jockos are fine. Any reason??? Thanks love the show and thanks for getting all these stories that should be honored and discussed by all. Interested in the story of billy waugh if you can ever do a special on that and how sf was formed. 🍺🔥👏
Around 42 mins he mentions seeing Americans with berets on and someone snapping photos of them, I would like to know kore about that. We’re they defectors?
Hey Tilt how are ya? Hey, when are you gonna bring Lynne "blackjack" Black Jr to the podcast??? I am following you for a long time now. Try to bring him over please. Thank You! Creers from Brazil!!! CHIEU HOI, DU MAA!!!
This guy has to be in you’re top 5 Tilt, just as an Unique individual as he’s Canadian. Canadian’s tend to have a greater command and wider spectrum of English language skills because they’re still part of the Crown and better educated in such skills. Combine that with the whole more easy going approach to life in general and this guy is great! He’s also a great example of how Warrior Spirit doesn’t care where you come from or how you’re educated or not formally educated. Outstanding Podcast as usual Tilt, thanks for everything you are doing!
I was wondering the same thing, schriver is my hero. I got to visit the traveling wall and found his name. I know he was listed KIA in 1974 even though they never found his body, but I just can't accept that they got Jerry. For me he is living with his true family the yards.
dod rob have exploding tip arrows. Like I had when I brought back pows way after the war was over as sent back to take pics only ya right. leave no man behind, so I brought them back in a beat up shot up russian hilo smoking so bad when landed the smoke engulfed the hilo. major damage loss and major dead left behind. vietnamese general got my last exploding arrow on a rock middle of river right in the chest, you should have seen him come apart flying parts in all directions. That is what they received for pissing me off.
This intro has my heart and SOG logo I’m hooked and truly truly love this logo and I prefer this logo over the 5 Seals Team logo and if I’m not mistaken I believe one of there logo is a Pirate or some SHIT but I could be wrong tho…
