Bravo Tilt! Another excellent conversation. John here, yourself, Dick Thompson, etc - incredible testimonies! Essential history that shouldve been catalogued years ago. Great memories on you guys, plenty of compelling detail in these tales. Courageous young men doing the dirty work theyre ordered to do despite millions of Americans wishing them dead, spitting on them, etc, both during and after. Thanks for sharing!
Tilt, I read your material back-in-the-day under your nom de plume. Thank you so much for shining a light on our courageous service men and women. God Bless.
First, thank you to Jocko and John Stryker Meyer for bringing us these awesome casts! I would love to find some balanced accounts of the Phoenix program. However, they are very hard to find. Most of the ones I've seen are written from the perspective of the Left.
Tilt- finally read your first two books. Put the family on “ignore”. Great writing, couldn’t put them down. Thanks for your service! Enjoyed the interview with your fellow over achiever.
Thanks for all the new episodes this week. Keep’em coming. I bought all the books on Amazon I could find. If y’all ever do a book signing then let me know. I am standing by!
One of the podcasts that Tilt is in he's got one of his indigen's with him, I think it's cowboy, the one guy he talks about alot that was given that nickname, he made it out when the south fell and made his way to America.
I was with G/2/4 in early 66 when our Battalion was sent to Dong Ha. At Dong Ha was an Airforce radar facility, shortly after arrival we were sent patrolling Down a road SW of Dong Ha to check out an ambush on five Airforce personnel out joy riding in a Jeep.
The US was there upon request of the South Vietnamese government to help them repel the North Vietnamese communists that were trying to invade the South, the same North Vietnamese that had the backing of the Soviet Union.

55:20 32ft is the exact height of the rappelling Tower at Camp old Indian in South Carolina. I remember when the Army Reserve would come repel with us I guess they were scared😂
I first heard about MACVSOG in DC suicide mission series in the late 80s or 90s , start reading some books literature VD etc , what I like to see is too is interview with the Pilots Kobi ,Cobra ,HIUs, Jolly GG, F4 ,Spad ,Kinbis bcz if we're listening those stories today is bcz those pilots RISK their life n lost it too to rescue them all the time behind enemy lines, same with the SEALs ,LRRP all SFG , n the Ship 🚢 Captain, too , I want to know if somebody interviewed the Montanyard n the other people, VC, NVA see n hear their stories too ,
Love these SOG interviews….but this guy is talking in cosmic jargon (on top of mumbling) that even Stryker is having a hard time pricing together. This stuff is fascinating, but only if you can understand what they’re saying.
