In this video I mess around with making compact solar arrays... Discord Link : / discord If you enjoyed the video please liking the video and if you enjoy what I do maybe consider Subbing to the channel, helps me out allot : )
And here was I all pleased with myself that trailer 2 of my survival road train had a single solar panel that popped out into three when it's parked and locked down. Lol.
I honestly think it would be nice to make a module 2x the size of the solar module, as a small base. If you have small grid large block packs then you could technically make it your main base, but I mean more like a small pad you can deploy to use the solar panels for.
small grid armor for large grids, that spread out like these could be nice, not that they give that much more protection, but i was thinking about the ablative armor from Star Trek Voyager, that surrounds the ship. The effect always looked very cool.
A use I saw for the foldable panels is a small ship in space. They could unfold when docked or something. Also you could use that with armored panels or something to activate a defensive mode.
You've got great interesting videos. My only critique would be to do a mock run on your videos ensuring everything works before you're posting. Otherwise it all looks great. Measure twice cut once.
To be honest I did, I had to do a reLog into the game just before I started and for some reason the tank decided to glitch out, but yes lesson learned, and am glad you enjoyed the video
Now with this idea one might never run out of ideas/motiatio for their world! Why? A production facility. Multiple buildings seperated to function, transport all you need from the specialized grid to where needed Need more power generation? Transport a few modules.
From BlackArmor I have seen a way to have "magnetic" rotor attachments: basically a timer block that tries to attach the rotor head in quick succession - might be useful for your forklift system ;)
Hello, it was possible not to complicate the design, but to add another panel for each solar panel. When two solar panels are tightly positioned under each other, then they can work. As a result, pistons are not needed. But still, you did a great job.👍(Translation)
yea, kind of, the issue is they have a higher chance of getting jammed if you have 4 panels on each layer from what i remember, but there's no reason why you cant give it a go. Also I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
imagine one of these coming up out of a bay on a big ship to deploy when in line of sight of the sun, and retractable incase of danger or having to move to a new area etc so it doesn't clap into asteroids.
I have some suggestions for you, I will join your Discord and send you the links to them. You may not know of them or seen them but could be helpful to you especially for what you did in this video.
I have a question about custom turrets, how do you put more than one on a grid, I'm building a space defence platform that has 4 Gatling ball turrets with 4 controllers, I can take control of the turrets individually from the corresponding controller but only one ai can be activated... how can i solve this :) you're the best.
