Solasta: CotM - 5 Essential Tips 

A little tip that I only found out halfway through my first game: - some items you find are magic items without the game telling you that they are magic. Often these have prefixes like “magnificent” or “splendid”. If you identify these, they’ll turn out +1, +2, etc. A way to make sure you don’t miss this is by ritual casting “detect magic”. This will highlight any item in your inventory that can be identified.

I’m liking Solasta. It’s true that it doesn’t have the budget, production value, or ‘freedom’ of BG3 early access, or even of DOS2:DE…but it is a complete game that does a great job overall of mirroring 5e. Latest patch and expansion are pretty sweet too.

Fascinating! I just bought the base game last night (getting the DLC-stuffed combo platter was too expensive) but I am stoked for it.

You get the exact description and stats of items you can craft if you hold down the Alt button, just like if it was sitting in your inventory.

my tip is turn on simplified carry weight rules since no DM in DnD ever had used it

All you need to know about lighting is that you need to create only characters of races that have darkvision

You missed probably the most important tip of all: that tomes of str/dex/con restock once in 24 hours, so given the money you can get to 30 at those attributes

What exactly is wandering in wisdom?

What if I didn't pick wizard at start, how can I craft?

literally everyone on the entire internet does sellsword background with wizard....my wizard is a spy.....poisoner's kit proficiency uses intelligence and she's very stealthy....rarely ever gets attacked because she's so good at saying hidden and far away

Is there a way to get proficiency with enchanting after char creation? I didn't put a wizard in my party.

what buffs were you using to have your stats so high

I dont have any characters that can use the Manacalon Rosary, will i get a chance to get the feat at a certain lvl??? Thank you

Dang, I still haven't found the primed chain shirt needed for that armor and I'm probably not far from the end of the game.

Hmmm, I'll have to watch this later. Some of the characters and dialog are a little dull and flat, but the UI is sort of clean and there are some things going for it. I also find that racial conditions on spells are not tooltiped and you either memorize/consult the manual or fail and "oh well." A lot of D&D PC gaming is about knowing in advance what enemies you're going to face, as many spells range from crucial to useless... But it seems worthwhile overall, and you must have a knack if you 100% these things on the regular.
