I Agree Fully, Love to watch the 2 of them, but this was heartbreaking and I'm thinking of NOT watching them anymore. Appears those 2 are getting GREEDY!
Then you should know this home's base price is $44,900. The higher price includes all the things Randy explained, the massive solar package, the delivery & set-up, the fee to live in an ITH community, and the skirting and steps. You can get by on a solar system half as big as this one, for a house this size. And you can choose to live somewhere with no fees to live there and pay the higher lot rent instead.
It was the 35$ charge that she implied she should have charged, but the fact that she had the audacity to say this to me. I hit her with “So we would have had to haul my sister to the cemetery and inter her ourselves. That is if the site next to her husband had been big enough for her casket? Would we have had to rent the hearse from you as well?”
Put a dry erase board over the electrical panel cover! It's right there by the fridge, so you can put your lists, notes, reminders, etc. Sure, you could put it on your fridge, but some folks like to have that for showing artwork their little ones make, or leave it clear & not cluttered. 👌😊👍
Artificial flowers are pretty at the time but I learned a very sad lesson. My son and I are now going to our camper on the weekends during the summer. So I thought it would be cool to have bright, pretty flowers on my Sheppard hook. So I bought fake ones. They wouldn't die. Well, later in the fall I took them down for fall leaves and such. On the base of these fake flowers was a bubble bee, dead. She may have come to the brightly made flowers for food and starved. My heart broke seeing her curled up on the dirt. I will never put fake ones out again.
Dang, the price went up or the solar is very expensive. You can buy a full size park model, all wood, inside and out, full kitchen with full size appliances, a real loft, Amish built for $80K and it comes with Amish built furniture.
@@streetsmartintelligent They are in PA, called Lancaster Log Cabins. They look good, but I don't know how well they are constructed, nor do I know how well the ones at ITH are constructed. I haven't been to either one, just seen walk-through videos and looked at websites.
@@susanbeals7597 Thanks, that price is better, but seems really small. I think it is cute, but not really livable in a wheelchair. If it was a 12 x 24 in the same design it might work to get a bigger shower, and make the hallway wider. I vote for a 12 x 24 option.
@@streetsmartintelligent I understand all that, some people just like or want different things. The panels are cheaper than wood so the shock of this one being $100K was what threw me off. Didn't know solar cost $50K. Just a shocker for a 10x20. None of this matters anyway, no home is gonna last through what is about to happen in this world.
The house isn't that price. The house, the fee to rent a lot at ITH, delivery & set up of the home, and skirting is that price, and then you get the lot for $200/month.
Now this is none of my business but you two work so well together. Why not be “ sweeties!,” I think you are both a great team. From a supporter in Michigan! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Their prices are far too high for what you get 😮 I wouldn’t buy anything from them they’re like used car salesmen or say QVC or HSN! They’ll be selling them there soon.
I love these tiny homes and I really am trying to convince my husband they are great. The price is too high for me and I'm retired. Why did the price's sky rocket so much? I understand costs go up but seriously, I can figure out how much a square foot you are paying for a really small home and its too much.
Yes it is. You can buy a 2 bedroom Modular of Prefab home for 99K. Modular and Prefab homes are replacing Manufactured homes which used to be called Trailers, but that name went away 20 yrs ago when they started making 6 inch walls and insulated just like homes. Roofs had 20 yr. guarantee's, etc.
@@janephillips3627 - And you still have to pay for the land, to get utities run to your homesite, pay for all the permits, build a driveway, and build the foundation your Modular will sit on. But hey, if you can afford all that, go for it!
I bought a 1500 sq foot, 3 br, 2 bath, 13 block basement with a 2 car garage for $110,000!!! On a 1/4 acre in a great location near the Ausable River! NOT cheap build with any short cuts. This is cute but overpriced in my opinion.
I would recommend placing the solar system batteries in a box under the house, as the fumes from the batteries can spread throughout the house, causing health problems if inhaled over a long period of time. The batteries should also be protected from above so that nothing can fall on them. As shown in the video, it is dangerous. This could result in a fire that cannot be easily extinguished .
I cannot logically understand why a 10 x 20 box would need solar...electricity can't be expensive at all for 200 Sq ft...and the unit is way YYYY over priced period
Check these people out. Seattle is a long distance away from East Tn. I believe you started out with good intentions and everything was done for your customers. Somewhere along the way though, in my honest opinion, the videos reflect this as well, the dollar signs showed up. You had to change the sales pitch in your videos to include language that you didn’t originally use. The homes spoke for themselves and you were proud of this. Now you have to make sure that you sell every single word you use in showing these homes.
Maaan ! , it was so sweet in the beginning it seamed so good was affordable a dream come true !, what happened!!, your getting like everyone else wit jacking up the price! ,come on Randy !😮
Two months ago the same Incredi Cottage model was offered with a lot at Buffalo Creek for $44,500 - less than half of this price. What is going on here???
That price did NOT include a lot or the full solar package. $44,900 is the current base price for this home without solar, without 3 extra batteries, without a bay window, without the wood trim package, and without a lot.
So a mere $55,000 for solar (which is not needed in the Forest), a bump-out window (not a bay window), some trim and a lot (probably $35,000 to rent for a year guaranteed). What a steal!
You tell'em Amanda. I have a damn degree and I work as a cashier. My degree simply is not doing for me what I was told it would do. I'm just lucky to have gotten it before it got really expensive to go to college. And I would love to be able to put at least three cottages on a property. One for myself and one for each of my two special needs children who are now adults. They may not be able to go out and work and hold down a job, but I would still like to give them as much independence as possible.
Tiny homes are so adorable but like everything else, once it catches on that there's a real need for them, the price sky rockets, and the people who could benefit the most from them, are out of the financial range to even buy one. I know they deserve to profit, and the tiny homes are absolutely beautiful, but it doesn't matter if most people can't afford one. That's why so many people are searching for alternatives to traditional housing now, the cost. But now these are becoming financially just as unattainable....smh...
@@CuzmicTarot maybe so but this one is to high. I have seen some for 45'000 that are cuter. I may one day down size to one but a cheaper price are build it ourselves. Good luck to all
@@Pattim4762 On their website is the base price I believe was in range of $49,500.00 for base cottage. This price on cottage in video, has additional upgrades, solar power and the one time buy in “key money” fee for the land lot in their forest community, that allows you to rent the lot for $200 a month. The key money fee covers the infrastructure build that everyone shared in order to have the community built, roads, sewer, etc.
What happen to the 20k tiny home? What the curtains and front deck bumps it 79k???? What is going on ???? 99k for a tiny house ??? That a 1 bedroom condo somewhere close to a beach…
If you're going to advertise this to older people or people who care for older people, I suggest you make a model that's ADA compliant. I'd love one that's 30' long with extra room in the bathroom and living room.
They have a couple of models like that! Go to their website and look at the Charleston (10'x30') without a sleeping loft, the Birmingham (10'x34'), and the Amanda (12'x40' I think).
Check your math. The home is $224.50/Sq ft, with a base price of $44,900. If you want all the solar (which is top of the line for a home this size - you could get by on a system half as big), and some other optional amenities, then yes, the price per Sq ft will increase. But you are adding in the fee to live in this community, the delivery, set-up costs, and the price to skirt it, which are never included in the price per Sq ft. You are being deceptive, which is a violation of RU-vid rules.
I liked you guys but 100k is just way over the top on thst tiny house i thought the hole idea of going tiny was to save money not spend a lot more money on something that small but just like everything else that ship has sealed 😂
It's cute but it ain't worth $99,900!! Then i have to buy a second one for $45,000 just so i can have a bedroom! Ya'll are crazy to ask for this much money!
I love the cottage and was shocked to hear the complete package price. Figured it would be at least 20,000 less. If that's the lot where it is now forget it. Looks like its park on the side of a road to change a tire ! lol. How much is "key monies"? when purchasing? This cottage is beautiful and can have much more of a selling factor if it was bigger. This videos purpose to me was to promote the "add a cottage" to get more room. That turns me off completely. Another question I have. Underneath all of ITH homes is there protection from mice and other animals chewing or insects snakes from getting inside? (Like metal ?) Exactly what is underneath?
I understand what you are saying about using for family members that can’t live by themselves. The trouble isn’t getting the general public to understand this, it’s the different states/towns to allow them. Zoning just doesn’t allow in many places.
$45,000 for the house and $55,000 for the extras means you're paying $100,000 for the house. Whatever amount that comes out of your pocket is what you're paying!
@@AsaGardiner - Sorry, but solar panels not attached to the house, delivery and set-up costs, skirting and the fee to live in this community are NEVER included in the cost per Sq ft.
I think ITH is doing great things with their new home prices and deals (20- 50,000) But when it comes to the resales of these homes everything is close to or over $100,00O. That's double or triple the original price from just a couple years ago. There is the problem. Prices go up but that's some serious inflation and I know you guys will always spin it in your favor.
Yup! Since a stroke …if any problems happen need to maneuver a wheel chair or a rollator through the hallways! Bathroom seems fine size. Would love one in my Son’s property!!
Go to their website to see other main floor living model homes with larger bathrooms. Any of those plans can be built to be liveable for the wheelchair user.
Amanda - brought me to tears talking about her Grandma. It shows the compassion, and care she has, for everyone.... She’s the co-owner of a successful, growing company, she understands the economic crisis that’s happening now, while keeping her small town values of family, connection, and community. I have so much respect for her.
I bought 3 houses in small towns for around a $1000 each. They're all about 800 square feet and need a little work, but no roof nothing major. They're all close to a Walmart. High-speed internet is available. And taxes are dirt cheap less than a 100 a year. So if you get away from the free advertising fantasy RU-vid channels and look through tax sales or just look at small towns, you can get away better deal. I mean those screams we watch have changed over the years from big and bulky to flat. But it's still entertainment and advertising. Design to take as many dollars as possible out of your pocket. Or bank account. Or off your credit card.
I'm reading a lot of negative comments about the price. Might be easier to understand the price if it was broken down so folks could see the reasoning. I love the look of the outside of the cottage but I really don't like like the floorplan, not that I can think of a better one. I'm still saving for a 8 x 20 incredi box with a loft.
LUCAS.... IN A HURRICANE... an owner could just dismount those solar panels... if they are plug and play ... And bring the panels in during the hurricane, to keep them safe.... And then just bring them back out after and plug and play again... And WOW... on the easy ballast and stacking bins for transport.... And hurrah that they can take high wind.... GREAT NEW SYSTEM... you rock my dear!!!!!
$99,000 for a closet? Ridiculous. This is obviously advertised for people moving here from more expensive states because people in Tennessee know that price for a shed is astronomical.
I live in a regular house in Florida and have 32 panels on my roof and am still attached to the electric company. I love having them anyway. I would definitely get panels and be off grid in a Tiny home.
I need thisTiny home so bad and a job selling Tiny Homes! I lost my significant other 2 years ago to Covid-19 and Im a disabled nurse but when Ron passed I've been in a bad situation for year's now! I love you and Amanda's business concept so much and think with my background I would be an asset to your company! I 've sold real estate in 🎉NC as well as TimeShare! I would just love to help you with your dream ! This is my dream to help people too because it looks like hear I go again because I am to keep from losing my home of 6years now that ! I 'm trying not to lose my home but it's not looking to good! I want this house with solar-panels in the mountains its my dream! This is my favorite too! I just love it!I want the first one please 🙏🏻 😂🎉🎉
Go for it!!! I’m a disabled Occupational Therapist and I’m 59 so I know when I turn 65 I won’t be able to stay in my home. The taxes alone are out if my budget. I’m hoping to go tiny. Make it happen!! Just do it! If they don’t have a job for you I’m certain you could find something easy. Depending on how much you need, you could even work from home! Nice to meet you!❤
I really absolutely love this cottage. I told you that I would buy an Incredible Tiny Home or cottage and pay extra towards rent. Even if you have to add a percentage for the cost of the place. I think that would be a great idea if you were to add an Incredi-Box to it. Remove the washing machine and dryer and put a doorway through there.
There are 2 closets. The 2' wide closet with laundry hook ups, so if you get a combo W/D, then you can have a hanging rod or shelves above it. There's a 4' wide closet in the bedroom. And you can get a bed frame with storage drawers below. Also, they allow a storage unit up to 6'x6' to be placed on the lot.
Yeah, with a mortgage you can pay off in five years, no utilities payments, and $200 lot rental, with a minimal footprint... Yes, there is no comparison to standard home! ❤❤❤
@@bernieroses718 Yes, they will keep renewing it. That’s the goal. Affordable living for people (mostly women) on a small pension. They are humanitarians. That up front fee is for infrastructure. They start with just ground and need sewer and electric lines run. It’s a darn good, affordable deal. Rent for apartments is $1800 a MONTH and up almost everywhere. Be grateful. When I had my shop I had a couple women over the years come in, look around, and go back to their cars packed to the hilt. THEY WERE LIVING IN THEIR CARS!!
@@bernieroses718 It’s a pity that you don’t get what a good deal this is. Are you expecting charity? The materials cost, the labor costs, the space costs. Yes. We can do math and see reality. Some of these people had nowhere to go and are thrilled to be there - why would you complain? What are YOU doing to help people?
So pretty. Love the shake shingles. Can u tell us where the new panels are made? Are they made in U.S.? Wonder if the extra batteries can be kept in an insulated or heated shed?
Your buildings are so beautiful and so well done but living on social security and that's all I have to live on I couldn't even begin to afford one of these at this price anymore. Not even one of the cheap ones. And being disabled doesn't help me any. I guess I'm going to have to go to a shed home and live in a shed till I can afford to even begin to do the inside or put electric or septic or whatever I need to it. It's sad that a senior citizens are being shoved off to the side. We'll keep up your good work God bless you both❤
Didn't see a light in the shower. How ya going to see at night? Now, how much with the add a cottage. Heck, I could live in the house as is, the golden hue of the light coming through the yellow shades of buttercups.
If I was fortunate enough to buy one I would have it open into kitchen so I could unilize the space for living. As it is now the door takes up living room. I would rather step into living area to kick off my shoes than walk into the kitchen. That’s how I planned mine over a year ago. I’m still hoping🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
