Looks like a 240 Six cylinder with the 3 speed My Dad had an ex-US Air Force '65 F100 shortbed stepside with the 240 and 3 speed. He found a '65 parts truck and swapped a 4 speed on the floor from it on into his truck.

That’s spot on. It sure was a fun truck to drive. Wouldn’t win a race but it started and was cool!
