I purchased a 2011 LS 460l 4 months ago it had 100,000 miles. I did research these cars as much as possible before I bought it and decided to get it. As soon as I test drove it I was in awe. This car is way above and beyond what I ever thought, I would take it any day over some new suv. It is an absolute treat to drive and everyone feels very special riding in it. An absolutely phenomenal car, extremely happy.
Damn I can't imagine how painful it was to let this flagship go. But I can understand since you sold it for a profit and personal needs change throughout life. I have an 09' L with AWD that I've owned for about 9 months now. Bought it for 9200 at 182k miles, fantastic condition and service history. Whether I'm flooring it or cruising at the speed limit, still brings a smile to my face each time. It's truly a special car that is underrated in the used car market I'm sure you'll find another one eventually!
That’s very smart to get one of these with high mileage with great service history, $9200 is a great deal. I may do the same. It really is so underrated not many people know about them, but that means more for us :)
I love the newer design of the 2014 model, in the long version too... must've looked amazing. Yeah, the 2016+ RX 350 is a superior driving experience for sure but also a lot more money too.
THIS IS THE R UNIT 222 PEOPLE I LOVE MY LEXUS"S I GOT THREE OF THEM AT ONE TIME I HAVE THE GS430 AKA THE UNIT THEN MY 2015 RX350 AKA SNOW BOUND !! AND NOW 2017 LS460L BOOM AKA BLACK BUTTER FLY A SONG BY D.W
Can’t really comment on pricing as it has gone down a lot recently after the crazy high car prices during COVID. Also depends on your location. But 12K is a great deal.
I have an 11 LS460 SWB and love it. I was going to get the LWB but heard it has driveline issues and expensive repairs. I’m happy though. Maybe I’ll get a LWB later.
Honestly even the SWB has plenty of leg room in the back. I mainly bought the LWB for the looks I really think it stands out. As for the driveline issues as long as it was well maintained you shouldn’t have any problems. It’s worth paying for a pre-purchase inspection on this car to check the air suspension and control arms.
Parts are not too expensive here in the US and Toyota mechanics can work on this car. Can you give us more details about what repairs are coming up on yours and how much it’ll cost in the UAE to fix?
@@futureofcarstube mine is an all wheel drive 2010 model import from US, had a rear end accident ( the repaint job was perfect but i did a 360° check on the car and i found it on a non accident claimed car)... All four air suspension i changed to orginal for 3000$. then my control arms where spoiled because previous owner didn't take care of suspension on time. Both upper and lower cost me around 1000$. then my ABS gone bad in another month because previous owner used after market cheep break pads i think . To replace and calibrate abs they charged me 3000$. Now front axial have play and noise need to be replaced going to cost around 500$... I use to take care of my car like a baby but no love in return 💔💔. In UAE every one afraid to by it because of abs issues, parts availability and costly repairs due to many electronic parts in the car. Every one prefer lexus ls 430 over 460 because its very easy to maintain here in UAE. If you check used car online market like "dubizzle " or normal market, have very cheap rate when compared to ls 430
@@sajithktri thank you for sharing that, air suspension is the most expensive repair on this car and $3000 sounds about right. Overall sounds like your car wasn’t taken care of by the previous owner. I hope you keep it.
@@futureofcarstube me and my family really love this car.But am finding it hard to get a trustworthy mechanic here… lexus uae won’t repair ,because it’s an imported one. Since the purchase every month am spending around 1000 $on my car😢.. I really want to keep it… next am planning to change it to normal coil overs suspension, but its not available to purchase from UAE. For all wheel drive its not available in strutmasters site …
@@sajithktri I would suggest converting to Coil over springs, the cost here is about $1,100 for all 4 corners and the ride is supposed to remain like stock. For the price of a single shock do all 4 corners. If I lose one of my air ride shocks, that's the route I'll go
I sold it for 15K USD. I had zero repairs in my ownership just oil changes. The new owner I'm sure also won't have any repairs for at-least a couple years. These things are built like tanks.
@@GregMuniz7 Everything on the 460 is beyond expensive, you can’t even bleed the brakes. Abs are faulty, control arms (all 8 of them) fortune.. I would stick to 430. Watch car care nuts channel before you buy or sell it before it takes you out financially.
@@GregMuniz7it’s more expensive to maintain than a Toyota for sure. The air suspension is the most expensive IF it breaks $3000 to fix. Or some people do a conversion and delete the air suspension. Did you end up buying one?
Nooo.... When it's time to sale my LS L, it will be when I break 130k and I will be going into another LS460 L, I'm currently in a 2007 LS460 L with 90k.... and I'm sorry, It is a car to go fast lol if you want. Power band is nice between 65mph and 120 :) Should have kept her! :(
Not the right time in my life that’s all. Didn’t make sense to drive around in a long wheel base luxury sedan by myself. Plus I also got my motorcycle license.
I have a 2012 LS460 Sport fully loaded version with only 75K miles that I am thinking of letting it go to make room for LC500. Anyone interested please let me know.
There is a VIP model with more options and an entertainment unit in the back. Takes away the middle seat in the back so can only carry 4 people including the driver. Very hard to find.
