The only reason the value goes down is because maybe someone else won't like the diamonds and wont be willing to buy, but objectively speaking adding diamonds increases the precious objects in the watch which raises its value.

@@AG-en5y Again, because person A wouldn't be willing to pay for diamonds person B would. Intrinsically speaking, real diamonds increase the value of anything when added.

@@escanor9920 it’s not strange at all. If it’s a 100k watch and you add diamonds, you’re rendering the watch unsellable if you were ever to remove those diamonds. So pretty much the watch price is 1/10 of what it would be, plus the 20-30k of diamonds added

These dumb kids will never understand what stupidity they are doing with these iced out watches.

We were all young once.... I remember wearing clothes with huge Gucci, D&G, YSL etc.....but as you get older you realise that the people in the know recognise brands and good taste without shouting about it. Sticking a full iced watch on is shouting you've got some cash.....now, but many will end up on the used market when the 2nd album or football career takes a down turn. Class lasts.

@@jolin8493 I saw it on Van Rijk's Jeweller's website two months ago. He is a Toronto dealer specializing in used watches. That was in Canadian dollars, which was a real bargain. The watch may have been in poor cosmetic condition (scratches etc.). Of course you can't see it online.

It's their business and diamond watches are their market... If people want to buy them you can't blame them for doing it. I wouldn't personally buy one though

People who buy this kind of watch don’t know that they pay for the watch and the diamonds. But when it comes to selling the watch it’s only worth what the diamonds are worth. The watch Value is gone. And my problem is that these watches are not made in volume. These are collector pieces and destroying them breaks my heart

@@AgentLynch616 that’s the biggest lie told to people lol, as the price of the plain watch increases the price of the watch with diamonds increases aswell, after market diamond watches have increased in value the last let’s say 5 years each year. If you buy a Rolex worth 30k and it’s worth 50k with after market diamonds and I buy it with the diamonds now let’s say it gradually goes up to about 40k over time now when I come to sell the watch iced out it’s gonna be worth more than I payed for it since the watch has gone up. The problem is that when coming to sell the watch most likely you’re gonna be selling it back to jeweller you bought it from or another jeweller

@@gzhbeats1084 the price of a plain watch would have gone up in value had it not been destroyed by setting cheap diamonds into it. Once you have iced it out your left with only the movement that is worth anything. Your thinking is flawed by the fact you still think you have a watch.

@@AgentLynch616non of that matters when people have sold iced out watches for more than they have bought them lol, you clearly don’t understand supply and demand when the plain price of the watch goes up less get iced out which means there’s less supply and demand goes up as it becomes rarer which means the price of the watch iced out goes up COVID is one of the main reasons for this since watch production has been halted, jewellers either can’t get their hands on certain watches or are more reluctant to ice out certain watches so the supply is down but demand is still at a all time high for iced out watches so the price goes up
