I got a set of soldering tweezers for this purpose. Makes it so much easier. 2 irons in one handle.

Had soldering tweezers , 2 irons is better , you can come in at different angles if you need to and can go any width you want as well . Will never go back to using hot tweezers.

@@mrsolderfix3996 Agree 2 irons can be helpful some times but so does having a free hand. The tweezers don't always work when there is a part or plastic in the wrong spot. So instead of 2 irons I use a wide tip that touches both sides. Takes a long time to heat up.

I've tried all methods over the years and 2 irons is one of the best , easy methods I've ever tried . Everyone has their own ways , this is just my most used method for some soldering situations . Thanks for commenting 👍

Those soldering tweezers indeed are handy for two pin/pad SMD component soldering. There is a huge catch. Soldering stations with proper tweezers are expensive and obscenely expensive. Complete solutions with soldering tweezers in price below $300 are rubbish. Unfortunately learned that from own mistakes. By the way flux is still required :)

Nice, i have the hakko888D just for its tweezers. I tried the dual irons before and its much easier as you said in some narrow places

Was wondering what soldering iron model this is? I have a RadioShack Pro-Line 65w iron and had an iron heating element fail on me a few years ago, I ordered two and a few years later the first replacement failed. Currently running the last iron element i have and want to prepare for the inevitable. Ideally I'm looking for an iron that has the element integrated into the tips, T12 iirc. Thanks in advance and keep up the excellent work!

Hi , thank you for your comment. Both the irons in this video are Weller TCP S irons with PTP7 tips in them . These are the irons I use in all of my videos . Thanks again 👍

Hi , 2 irons is more flexible . You can come in at different angles either end if needed , which you will need at times due to other parts in the way. I've used soldering tweezers in the past . Will never go back to them . Thank you 👍

Hi , as I've said to people before this method is much safer for the board and the surrounding components as the heat is concentrated on one point . Why put excess heat into all of the surrounding parts , some of which may be plastic connectors? Also a good hot air station isn't that cheap , lots of hobbyists wouldn't want to pay out for one of them . Thanks for your comment

Hi , 2 irons are a much better option . Sometimes you need to come in from different angles which you can't do with soldering tweezers . Also 2 narrow iron tips can get in places soldering tweezers can't so again 2 irons wins . I've had soldering tweezers but will never go back to them and lots of other experienced solderers i know feel the same . Thanks for your thoughts .
