Yay …. A win win!!! Plus the weather was great too!! I guess I’m lucky to be only ten minutes away… impromptu sessions are sometimes the best!! Thanks for watching again Gary cheers ian
Great upload as always guy's, more blue sky up on the BC than here in Cornwall, strong Westerly s an overcast all this week. Tight lines as always Chris.
Unfortunately every time I go to Cornwall I get rain and wind!! But the beautiful coastline makes up for it!! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks as always for watching cheers ian
Thanks Ian it was just a short video but we enjoyed the session and as you say it was a cracking sunset!!! Makes you feel glad to be alive doing what you enjoy!!! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment cheers ian
Nice session there gents. stunning just to be out on an evening like that, and to get dinner while there was even better👍🏼👍🏼. thanks for your efforts. tight lines
Totally agree…. The fish were a bonus on a night like that!!! Plus sole is very very tasty!!! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment cheers ian
Ah thanks nick!! Yes I was slightly peeved as I knew it was a good fish and plus was very close when it slipped the hook!😡 It felt like a largish bass …. In hindsight I should have taken more care but these things happen!! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching cheers ian
Yes pulley rigs 6oz but unless strong wind/tide we usually don’t put the grips in. 4oz fine in most conditions! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Off to Chesil later today! Cheers ian
Hi Lee lovely to hear from you! I live in Bleadon so only a short drive too! Brean a nice easy venue and fishes all year round as you know! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment cheers ian
Hi Gareth lovely to hear from you…. Hope you are enjoying the videos!!!! Now the question…. Basically the fish can be any range but first cast 3 hours before high is generally a gentle lob. We fish two rods and leave one out a long time… over an hour sometimes and recast the other more frequently. Distance casts not always the best but at high tide can be an advantage! Hope that helps cheers ian
As always Ian constantly breaking the mould with fantastic content can I just ask breen is only a low water mark fishing also the flood but not a high water mark?
Hi thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment!!! I think you must have misheard me on the video…. Brean is a high water mark only!!!! Fish the last 3 hours of the flood up to high and maybe an hour down. The tide goes way out in the Bristol Channel and it’s dangerous to fish any earlier as the sand/mud will suck you down!!!!! Cheers ian
Great video Ian. Going to have a bash there this weekend myself. Fished the day before and had two flounders. How long do you leave your baits out for out of interest? Tight lines, Harry
Hi Harry nice to hear from you! Good luck this weekend…. I’m off to Chesil! We really pile on the lug when we fish Brean so can leave baits out a long time…. Up to an hour or longer! There are no crabs so baits generally are ok unless a fish takes it. We use maybe 8 dug lugworm at a time. By fishing two rods we recast the other more frequently at shorter range. Cheers ian
Nice vid again. Just watched it sat in my bivy chasing my first ever UK catfish. You was not happy not landing that fish. It could been worse you could have caught your first UK cat fish only for it to not count because it was foul hooked in the tail. Lol I wonder who done that today? 🙄
Wow …. Makes a change from catching dogfish I guess😂😂😂 That’s very unlucky hooking it in the tail… I seem to remember they stun prey with their tails or have a dreamed that?? I imagine a mild rainy night is pretty good conditions… chance of another I’m sure! And yes I was not impressed losing that fish at all!!!! Tight lines Les! Cheers ian
Hi Royston I park on the verge opposite Brean village hall and go through the cut by bus stop. Don’t park on verge begin double yellow lines as you will get a ticket! Cheers ian
Hi Tink unfortunately I must admit I did!!! When I was editing it I tried to find a bleeper but am technically an idiot so left it in …. I think that’s the first swear in all my years of videos so forgive me!!! It was a good fish and I had it sooooo close!😡😂😂😂😂 thanks for watching!!! Cheers ian
