For me it's the Gerundino Fernandez. That deep, hollow, profound sound. Although maybe it's the Archangel. Decisions i will never have to make.

Antonio Marin Montero has a character of its own. Mixture of brightness and warmth at the same time, which is something we don't see in most guitars now a days.

3 years have passed, i think I'm leaning towards Gerundino more lol. I'm surprised i changed my mind tbh.

Arcangel 64' does it for me the most. It has everything. Antonio Marin 72' is a close second. I would love anyone of those guitars...they are all great! but those two stood out the most. I love the dry punch and bass of the Montero....Arcangel seems the most balanced, covering all bases.

big difference between the guitars. Outstanding in my opinion are the Reyes and the Gerundino.

The Reyes has got the edge but I like the Arcangel Fernandez a lot. It seems that the guitars has mid tension instead of hard tension.

I meant to say that the guitars seem to have mid tension strings, which makes the guitars sound more loose, almost mushy than tight. This can sometimes effect the character of tone.

Thumb nail too long for flamenco.... Skin and nail for all apuyando strokes is the tradition and what gives the authentic sound.... Certainly it is Good to hear someone who can really drive the soundboard on a flamenco whilst giving demonstration though, thank you! Otherwise, a shame that the Arcangel had dead strings on her.... Makes a lot of difference e viva el arte!

I'm not sure whether it's down to Kai's technique or style but, somehow, none of these guitars sounds special at all. The Reyes is perhaps the nicest out of these four, but the Arcangel and Gerundino are both disappointing, especially when you consider how much they cost. I recently bought a 1966 cedar Ramirez for $3400 that completely blows these away for tonal character and warmth, yet still sounds bright and crisp. Don't waste your money on any of these ...... or maybe you already have!!

Ramirez is hit-and-miss most of the time to many. For example, Sabicas', Segovia's and maybe...yours have really nice amazing sound but not all Ramirez do. However, what really shine about all of the famous guitars not only lie in sound, but more importantly, playability; These guitars are famous for their fast neck and comfort. Ever wonder why Paco de Lucia appears 70% of the times with his 70s Conde? He did own amazing guitars, even far better than that Conde but only that Conde provided him the sweetest hand feel and playability.
