SolidBox Product Review: Dell M2800 vs. M3800, Part 1 of 3 

Great review. Ordered a 2800 a few days ago and I'm looking forward to receiving it even more now after watching your videos regarding it.

To be honest I thought this was a pretty biased series of reviews (not everything was correct ie. battery life ) and focused on up-selling the M3800. However that being said i did learn a lot from theses videos. Thank you for most of your information.

Thanks for the nice Reviews. How would you compare M3800 vs Latitude 7450 (keeping aside the fact that M3800 is quad core)? Portability, Performance, Bang-for-Buck($) ? One thing I seem to not like about M3800 is the docking station options. USB D3100 does not charge the laptop (so I need to carry the charger to office). I do moderate graphics (scientific Matlab type, plotting & visualization software, VMWare - Ubuntu)!

Hey, would like to know what you guys think about the M4800. Couldn't find a decent review about it. Whats the big difference between these 2 and the m4800. Going to the US (im from Brasil) in the end of the year and i need to replace my old 2010 MacBook Pro 15 inch.

Thoroughly unprofessional review. While the AMD card might well be slower than the Nvidia card (especially if it's a cheaper option), and AMD generally does have inferior drivers and ISV support compared to Nvidia, you can't compare different GPUs with different architectures, not to mention from two different chip designers, by looking at their respective "clock speed" (GPUs actually tend to have several different clock speeds, none of which is really relevant when looked at as an isolated factor) and their "number of cores" (it just doesn't work like that in the GPU field - not even close - unlike the CPU field where number of cores at least means about the same thing whether you're looking at an AMD, Intel, IBM etc. CPU) and deciding which GPU has the "highest numbers". There is no way that kind of bungled comparison can be attributed to simplification for the sake of getting through to viewers who are just less "techy", in fact it's indicative of a reviewer who has far too little technical insight to be guiding anyone in their purchase of a workstation computer. Also, are your readers really that interested in whether the Dell workstation they're about to buy has a look and feel that is as close to a MacBook Pro as one could get possible get without actually buying one?
