Fantastic Video. I have been struggling with the neck to headstock design. This is virtually impossible with solids. Thanks for the point back to wireframe and surfaces. That's old school, but still works. Thanks again! :-)
Hi Krzystof. very good tuto. I am an absolute beginner and I am using Solidworks 2010. I am sticked onthe "surface" step. I don'tknow how I can go forward to get the volume aparence. Do you have any idea that could help me? Thanks and regards Carmelo
Hey! I am getting this error when trying to use Knit Surface: The pieces cannot be joined into manifold bodies because more than two sheet bodies cannot be joined together at a single edge junction. I have all the same surfaces selected as you do in your video but I'm still getting that error. I have gone back over the whole sketch a few times now and I can't figure out why I'm getting this error. I'd love any help and insights. Thanks!
I do not know when you want to sew the surface, most likely you have a hole in the surface or you did not cut the surface well and therefore you cannot sew the surface, if you want, you can send me this file and if I have some time, I will see what can be fixed.
@krzysztof Gad I could get to the 5:00 minute, but I can not perform the SURFACE LOFT operation, it tells me it is not possible, I use solidworks 2018, with Solid 2014 it tells me that the guide curve can not be used. Any suggestions? Could you send me a copy of your model?
delete and do it over, solidworks can be wonkie sometimes where randomly it will add an unwanted relation somewhere generating the error you got. sometimes it can even be as little as the order you might click on something. trust me. Sat through a semester of 2018 Solidworks where we would go step by step with the instructor and she pointed this out regarding relations and click order.
@@Ivobillispbillisp It has been a while since I did the work, but I remember that the strokes must match perfectly, otherwise the program does not perform the operation correctly. I suggest zooming in and checking that all lines are continuous and there are no open lines
hi i cant extrude cut the holes for the tuners in the headstock :( it says "The intended cut does not intersect the model. Please check the sketch and direction. Can you help me?
you need to check a few things, maybe something that will help: -check the sketch may be is open, this one line should be a construction line (34:55) -check the direction of extrude -do you create a solid body? -may sketch a single wheel, then try them out If none of this helps, write
check the sketch may be is open, this one line should be a construction line < this took me a while but its fixed now. thank you very much and nice video :)
