SolidWorks 2022 Tutorial V-Belt Pulley Designing
Hi and welcome back. Today I am going to show you how to design a V-Groove pulley using SolidWorks 2022. By watching this tutorial, you will learn how to design a pulley by using SolidWorks.
By watching this tutorial, you will learn the use of SolidWorks tools like the sketch, line, circle, fillet, smart dimensions, circular pattern, mirror, etc. You will also learn the use of feature tools, like extrude and extrude cut. Hope you will stay connected with us and continue learning advanced part modelling by SolidWorks 2022.
We will draw the half sketch first and mirror it about the centerline. In this way, we can reduce our effort and save time. Then we will use revolve command to convert the sketch into 3D Pully. Then we will use one sketch to cut the holes and the key slot. Hope you will love the way we design the pully by using SolidWorks 2022.

I'm a beginner in solidworks just started 2 days ago and I've already done 4 models by following your tutorials and instructions. I still have a lot to discover on how to use the commands especially on how to make all the entities fully defined. I learned to draw in AutoCAD and I can do some decent drawings in both 2D and 3D modelling, and so I thought I would be able to learn solidworks quickly because I have knowledge in AutoCAD but it turns out I'm struggling with the different options and features because it's a bit different here in solidworks😅. Anyway, I'll continue practicing with your tutorials so thanks for the videos.

Sounds great. As you mentioned you have experience of using AutoCAD and you can also create 3D models there, so it will be easier for you to learn SolidWorks. You just need dedication and regular precise. Hope you will learn this nice design tool very soon. All the best.

I'm enjoying your tutorials for SolidWorkds 2022 very much. Easy to follow. Would it be possible to change the opacity on your mouse a touch. Some of the selections get lost behind the yellow. I do appreciate the use of the follow color though I always lose the mouse arrow on the screen otherwise. Keep'em coming.

Just a slight bit of feedback. The quick flicking back and forth between solidworks and the drawing makes it tough to follow what you're doing sometimes, and some of the narration isn't quite right/at the right time to make it possible to be able to follow on by listening and completing the actions at the same time. Otherwise, very helpful tutorials to help pick up the skills and features of the software. I've used PTC Creo up until now but decided to learn solidworks too so these videos have helped me to jump straight into learning how to use it.

Hi quick question. Is it easy to save Solidworks 2022 files into an earlier version so all my new version files can run in Solidworks 2021/20/19 (these are versions that I use on another network) Thanks for your advice. :)
