Let's embark on an exciting journey of creativity, innovation, and mastery in the world of AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks together. See you in the next video!
I'm sorry but this is not a custom gear, but a random gear. People don't want to create a gear that "this distance is 5 mm, that distance is 13mm". Why would they? Random numbers that you used without details. You totally forget to explain the main parameters of a spur gear, and their connection to the design. Not mentioning that the tooth shape is not a circle but an involute curve. Monkey see monkey do, that will not teach people anything.
I agree, it's a random thing without engineering knowledge. And it wouldn't work, because a circle tooth shape is not circle but involute curve. The definition of the involute curve is the curve traced by a point on a straight line that rolls without slipping on the circle. If you do something else that will slip causing abrasion, and quick wearing. Engineering knowledge is necessary when you make a gear. Although this thing could be a cool ornament on the table.
Thank you for your time, It CirPattern, when I choose 4, an error is shown "The specified plane should not be perpendicular to the sketch plane". what is the problem? I created it step by step as same as you
Not bad, but the tooth profile could be parametrically driven so that lines forming the tooth create a true rolling circle and therefore an involute tooth profile. You could then set all the other parameters of the model to be dependent upon a few select variables such as tooth #, tooth modulus, gear width, pitch of helical twist, etc.
Thanks for your interest and time to comment. You can change orientation of the parts in several way. One of them is first go to Assembly Menu --> Small down triangle under the Move Component --> Rotate Components. Hope it will help.
Please check your laptop configuration, whether it is suitable for SolidWorks or not. Next, are you trying to install any cracked copy of SW, if so, then it may be the cause of your problem. Some times those copies contain malware. Also they may have files missing. You should try to download a fresh copy of software from the authorized source only.
Sir thanks so much for these lovely tutorials. Since I am a beginner and trying to learn, can you please share the sketch drawings or the exercise book so I can learn and repeat it again on my own without watching the video? Thanks again so much!
I'm a beginner in solidworks just started 2 days ago and I've already done 4 models by following your tutorials and instructions. I still have a lot to discover on how to use the commands especially on how to make all the entities fully defined. I learned to draw in AutoCAD and I can do some decent drawings in both 2D and 3D modelling, and so I thought I would be able to learn solidworks quickly because I have knowledge in AutoCAD but it turns out I'm struggling with the different options and features because it's a bit different here in solidworks😅. Anyway, I'll continue practicing with your tutorials so thanks for the videos.
Sounds great. As you mentioned you have experience of using AutoCAD and you can also create 3D models there, so it will be easier for you to learn SolidWorks. You just need dedication and regular precise. Hope you will learn this nice design tool very soon. All the best.
What the hell does it mean to “control select” I can’t for the life of me figure out how to center the first cut out. Only the second time I’m trying out solid works so very much a beginner Update: took about 30 min but I figured it out lol
Coming from Inventor, I would have created this part by creating the features using a new solid and choosing to circular pattern the solid body and then joining all the solid bodies as one solid. Prevents mistakes when having to choose multiple features to pattern. I assume solidworks has something similar. Also I, like everyone else, was over here saying 'no it's 39.6, not 34.6' lol
Great video! One issue I found is when you unfold the stand model the center slot flange collides within the slot. If I were to manufacture that part I would use a 3 sided thin extrude and use sketched bend lines to make the flanges. Still a good sheet metal practice part/assembly.
This video isn’t as helpful for a beginner but I must say it’s very good and will come in handy later on to practice and mess around with new techniques, 👍
Thanks for your time to comment. This video is for very newbie. After couple of months familiarity you can try this. I have good number of videos for beginners. Better you should those those videos. Hop you will get some interesting videos.
This has been very helpful but I also have some advice (no negativity) if you have time you can add some captions because with the robot I can understand most words but some parts I really can’t tell what it’s saying. Edit: oh wait I’m a idiot I could have turn on the caption function.
Hello dear, so sorry to know that. I am working to solve the issue. You can check my new videos, where you will get proper narration in English, with appropriate subtitle. Hope you will like my new videos. Please check this one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NyULdRPwKRM.html
I'm enjoying your tutorials for SolidWorkds 2022 very much. Easy to follow. Would it be possible to change the opacity on your mouse a touch. Some of the selections get lost behind the yellow. I do appreciate the use of the follow color though I always lose the mouse arrow on the screen otherwise. Keep'em coming.
Thanks for sharing! I will keep in mind while making new videos. Definitely I will reduce the opacity while creating new videos. Please have a look my new video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NyULdRPwKRM.html
Because, I am not a native speaker. I struggle evetime while making narrations for my tutorial. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for understanding.
The only mistake I see was that it was 39.6 milimeters not 34.6. You need to include the 5mm towards the left side of the piece. But I am just starting and this tutorial helped a lot ! Thank you for your work.
"Do what I do" Why can't you just say exactly what you're doing? Creates so much confusion. I got conflict and rebuild errors because you were so vague with explaining little things.
